Why not suggest that ordinary people take Chinese studies as their main homework?
Study for the future.
Some people are young and always suggest learning Chinese studies. Some parents even let their children go to private schools, and they also pretend to avoid the poison of modern education. Chinese studies are not bad, but if it is not for professional research or interest, don't take Chinese studies as your main homework. Traditional and classic things have certain significance to modern society, but this significance is obviously not as great as technology and new knowledge.
A friend said that his company has studied the theory of a saint for two years, which is really annoying. He said that he now understands why the older people are more enthusiastic about this kind of learning, because these things will not change, but will be combined with people's experience, so it is easy to shape the image of "Old Delong".
In learning, it is better to keep pace with the times.
Sometimes learning English is not as good as learning Chinese studies.
Some people disagree.
However, people who disagree don't explain why. This topic deserves further discussion.

To learn anything, you must first understand the concept. "What is what?"
However, quite a few people often talk about "Chinese studies", but they don't know what Chinese studies are.
Regarding Chinese studies, I agree with the following concepts:
"Sinology is based on pre-Qin classics and hundred schools of thought. It covers a whole set of cultural and academic systems, such as Confucian classics in Han Dynasty, metaphysics in Wei and Jin Dynasties, Taoism in Sui and Tang Dynasties, Neo-Confucianism in Song and Ming Dynasties, practical learning in Ming and Qing Dynasties, parallel prose in the Six Dynasties, poems in Tang and Song Dynasties, Yuan Qu and novels in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and historiography in past dynasties. "
Some people confuse Chinese studies with Confucianism. Some people think of The Analects of Confucius, San Zi Jing, Hundred Family Names and Disciples Rules when they mention Chinese studies. These two views have greatly narrowed the scope of Chinese studies.
In fact, Chinese studies are divided into classics, history, philosophy and collections, which are simply vast, and a hundred schools of thought contend, not just Confucianism. The exposition of a hundred schools of thought contending in the pre-Qin period alone is already considerable. You can't pretend they don't exist just because you don't know.
In the classification section of "Chinese studies" in Baidu Encyclopedia, it has actually been explained in detail.
Guo Xue. Com lists "280 Essentials of Chinese Studies", which is quite comprehensive:
/zt/gxby/
It should be noted that these books do not include three-character classics, hundreds of surnames, disciple rules and so on. Because these books actually belong to children's ignorance, which is equivalent to kindergarten reading materials, and Disciples Rules was produced in the early Qing Dynasty and did not exist before.
Therefore, many people clamor for learning Chinese classics every day, and as a result, they are not learning real Chinese studies.
2
I have no objection to learning Chinese studies. If you are majoring in Chinese studies, of course you have to learn. If you are interested in Chinese studies, of course not.
I am the kind of person who has a strong interest in Chinese studies.
Among the 280 basic articles of Chinese studies, I have read some books, some have read them once or several times, and some have not finished reading them. When I was a child, I grew up watching Saint Amethyst, Hundreds of Family Names and Zengguang Xianwen, and I finished reading three words and two beats in middle school. A Dream of Red Mansions is a book that I have read 100 times since I was a child. After all, it is in Qufu, the birthplace of Confucianism. There are not many obstacles to reading classical Chinese, and I have a little understanding of rhythm. At least I have a good understanding of rhythm and lyrics. When I used to work in a bank, my spare time was basically reading books and watching TV. Among the books I often read, Historical Records, Lessons Learned from Mutual Learning and hundred schools of thought in Pre-Qin Dynasty are all among them. It is precisely because of this that I hate "pseudo-Chinese studies".
Where does the interest come from?
Interest usually does not come out of thin air, especially Chinese studies. If there is no such atmosphere at home, it is difficult to cultivate this interest only by relying on the ancient Chinese learned in school texts. I inherited my interest from my father. A subset of family history was basically bought by my father. Nowadays, many parents ask their children to learn Chinese studies, but their children are not interested in and do not understand Chinese studies. Will the child really be interested?
Therefore, many people's so-called study of Chinese studies has finally been simplified into Disciples Rules and so on. Require employees or children to be obedient and obedient, and bind employees or children with some rules and regulations. In this case, in fact, "Chinese studies" has become a tool, not to mention the essence of Chinese studies, and has actually lost its positive significance.
It is understandable for enterprises to promote these things. After all, the organizational model is constantly changing, and employees are becoming more and more difficult to manage. These so-called China cultural elements are added to the corporate culture, so that employees can have a unified language, which is at least beneficial to management. But I really don't understand why families are like this. Is it good for children that biological parents ask their children to learn Disciples Rules? If children really listen to this, are educated to be clever and obedient, and start working after graduating from college in the future, how competitive can they be if they are gentle and polite everywhere in the workplace where the law of the jungle prevails?
What the workplace needs is wolves, but parents have to train their children into docile sheep?
As far as I know, many enterprises advocate Chinese studies, and employees can study according to the company's requirements during working hours, but many people are reluctant to do so and throw them away after work. For them, this is an annoying political task, so they should act according to the situation. Why do they need to take it seriously?
Once at work, the company invited a university professor to tell us about Disciples Rules. The professor took us back sentence by sentence, he read one sentence, and we read another sentence after it. I went in for more than half an hour. I thought at that time: "Is this money really easy to earn?"
Let students learn, why should they be against the leaders? Anyway, the most important thing to do after class is KPI. Even if this thing gets 100, my KPI will not be completed, and the company will not give me a bonus.
But when I left the company, I was really relieved, thinking that I would never have to learn these things again.
Later, after listening to my former colleagues say that they have new learning content, I can't help but gloat. Every time I see them, I ask, "Are you still learning that?" (with a wry smile)
three
People's energy is limited, children's homework is heavy enough, and adults often arrange a lot of learning content for themselves. For professional researchers, Chinese studies are homework. For those who are interested, Chinese studies are spiritual nourishment and will not cause too much learning burden. But for people outside these two categories, especially those who have been assigned learning tasks by enterprises or parents, it is not a general headache.
Even those who are interested in learning, I suggest to know the concept of Chinese studies first. Don't think that being interested in Saint Amethyst means being interested in China studies. This is really different. In fact, learning Chinese studies is more difficult than most people think. Although it is the mother tongue of China people, it is no less difficult to learn classical Chinese than English.
Some schools listed the disciple rule as an examination item, and many parents protested. I applaud these parents because they are not stupid.
It's not bad for parents to mistake Disciple Rules for classics of Chinese studies, because they love children. They just don't understand and have misunderstandings about Chinese studies.
There are also some people who say that reading "Disciples" and the four disciples on "Disciples" really makes their hearts peaceful and quiet. If this is what they want, then there is no problem. This is the same as copying the Diamond Sutra by hand, because concentration reduces their impetuousness. In other words, although many people copy the Diamond Sutra by hand, they don't really understand what it says. If they are asked to explain what "there is no me, no one, no sentient beings and no life", they may not be clear.
What makes people sigh is this: Chinese studies have largely become a decoration. When people talk about Chinese studies, few people really touch its connotation.
I once visited Shenzhen University, and I saw many murals promoting the twenty-four filial piety in Guimiao New Village. I thought it was ridiculous at the time. If the students really believe in the Twenty-Four Filial Piety, they should follow their parents' request, let them go home and buy tickets quickly, let the civil servants prepare for the exam quickly, let the blind date nod quickly, and let the baby come quickly. It seems that everyone is happy, but what about young people's self-will? What about independence?

China's culture is profound, so it's a pity not to learn some Chinese studies.
Many parents lack the foundation of Chinese studies. I suggest studying with children instead of simply asking them to study.
If you want to learn, you can start with Melody Enlightenment (see the reason for recommendation: I still want to recommend Melody Enlightenment today), Tang poetry, Song ci, ancient prose and Warring States Policy. There are many strategies in the Warring States Policy (excellent strategies, but not palace fights), which can be told to children as stories.
Historical Records is also highly recommended, especially when studying the history of China, you can watch it together.
Just choose famous sentences such as Tang poetry, Song poetry and ancient prose. I have a copy of Grand View of Prose Masters in Past Dynasties /subject/338 1057/ which I bought in my early years, but I don't have it now. I always carry this book with me, which is my spiritual food. There are many articles suitable for reading in ancient Chinese, so I will use them when practicing the pronunciation of speeches.
As for Chinese studies, I'm just a beginner, and my views are inevitably biased and narrow. However, whether I like it or not, I will give reasons. I will not blindly oppose different opinions from my own point of view. I just hope that when I disagree, I'd better list my reasons. This reason is actually not to convince me. When you need to spend time studying, when parents let their children learn their views on Chinese studies,
In other words, whatever you do, you should do it soberly and have relatively comprehensive information, instead of just knowing why or not knowing the concept. Learning should be sober and firm in order to have better results.
Yesterday, I came to Beijing from Shenzhen to attend a meeting. I attended a big V party before I left, because Uncle Akiba happened to come to Shenzhen to hold a new book activity. But the venue was a little troublesome at that time, and I was in a hurry on the way back. As a result, I fell again My arm is still not well. I hurt my fingers and legs this time. I'm going back to Shenzhen from Beijing, so I'll stay at home, not one kilometer away from home, and I won't go out in rainy days.
I slept too little these two nights and was very tired. I slept for a while after going to the hotel today, and then got up to write an article. Write this article today, hoping it will be valuable to everyone and not waste your reading time.
