Yiwu Danxi Wine is a specialty of Yiwu City, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. Yiwu Danxi red wine has the functions of moving qi and blood, helping digestion, enhancing immunity, lowering cholesterol, regulating blood fat and stabilizing blood pressure.

Zhu Danxi, a famous doctor who has been praised by people for 700 years, was born in this ancient and magical land.

According to "Yiwu County Records", Zhu Danxi's name is Zhu Zhenheng (1281~1358), his name is Yanxiu, a native of Chishang, and he is known as Zhu Danxi because of his residence near Danxi. Zhu Danxi was a highly skilled medical practitioner, and was the author of various medical books such as Song Lun, Gezhi Yu Lun, and Typhoid Fever Discussion, etc. He was known as one of the four major medical practitioners of the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, together with Liu Perfection, Zhang Congzheng, and Li Gao. In his medical writings, Zhu Danxi mentioned drinking many times and warned people that they should drink alcohol correctly. He wrote in "Theory of Drinking Alcoholic Wine Cold" in Ge Zhi Yu Lun (格致余論), "If it is alcoholic, it should be drunk cold, too much for the lungs, and then warmed up when it enters the stomach. Lungs first warm in the cold, can replenish the gas, a benefit; second cold in the warm, can nourish the stomach, two benefits; cold wine line is slow, the transmission of gradual, not wantonly drink, the third benefit."
