What kinds of turtles are there in China?

There are many kinds of domestic turtles, some common ones and some rare ones:

The most common turtle belongs to the genus Tortoise, but the big-headed turtle and its black-necked turtle are rare, especially the black-necked turtle, whose young turtles are very bright in color and much more expensive than ordinary turtles.

Yellow-edged box turtle and yellow-fronted box turtle are very common species, which have attracted the attention of climbers.

The genus Pseudomedusae includes: Hydromedusae, Eisenberg Jellyfish and Hairy Jellyfish. Yellow throat is a very common water turtle, which is easy to see in the market. Ai's water turtle is a hybrid of yellow-throated and three-line closed-shell turtle, while Lashou's water turtle is a hybrid of yellow-throated and soft-shelled turtle. The definition of subspecies in these two varieties is still controversial, but we should know this statement. Since it is a hybrid variety, the number will not be too much, and the market can be seen occasionally.

The genus Magnaporthe grisea includes China Magnaporthe grisea, Freund's Magnaporthe grisea and toothless Magnaporthe grisea. Similarly, Chinese turtles are also the most common, and the number of the latter two kinds of turtles is relatively rare, so it is difficult to see them in the market.

There are many species of Tortoise, and they are all rare species, which can be said to be unique to China. These include: golden-headed box turtle, three-line turtle, panshi turtle, Zhou turtle and Yunnan turtle. At present, Jintou and Sanjian have produced a certain amount of artificial propagation, but the price is still surprisingly high. There are few other varieties, and only some fans are willing to spend their energy to find them. The Malay lockshell turtle should be the most common lockshell turtle, which is not only distributed in China, but also appears in some Southeast Asian countries and is very common in the market.

There are not many species of tortoises distributed in China, including Burmese tortoises, concave tortoises and four-claw tortoises. Among them, the tortoise with four claws is a national first-class protected animal.

There are some other common species in the market, such as sawed-edge turtle, ground turtle, spotted turtle and four-eyed turtle.

In fact, the prices of most domestic varieties are very approachable, the sex ratio is very high, and the breeding selection range is very large.
