Historical Review of German Football League One

1963-64 to 1967-68 season

This is the early days of the Bundesliga, and the league is generally in a state of dominance. Five seasons have produced five different champions, and Uwe Seeler, the iconic figure of Hamburg, won the first Golden Boot Award in the Bundesliga.

However, in 1965, Bayern Munich and M? nchengladbach were promoted to the Bundesliga at the same time, which laid the foundation for their hegemony in the following years.

69 to 1968-77 season

This is the first peak of the Bundesliga.

Bayern, which owns beckenbauer, Gade-Muller, Meyer, Schwartzenberg-Baker, Brutner and Ernes, and M? nchengladbach, which owns Nozel, Fu Geci, Heinks, simonson, Bonhoff and Stillk, staged a wonderful championship, during which they won all 9 league titles, including 5 M? nchengladbach and 4 Bayern.

In addition, Menxing won the championship twice with 1970 and 197 1, becoming the first defending champion of the Bundesliga. Bayern 1972- 1974 won the Bundesliga for three consecutive titles, but Menxing also won the championship with 1975-64.

1977-78 to 1982-83 season

At this stage, the main theme is still the hegemony of two heroes, but one of the protagonists has changed from Menxing to Hamburg.

Bayern and Hamburg have formed a pattern of "North-South hegemony", during which they won five of the six league titles, especially Hamburg, which has remained in the top two in the league in the last five seasons, which is very rare; Two Golden Globe winners, rummenigge and Kevin kevin keegan, are the representatives of both sides.

Another team that cannot be ignored is Cologne. 1977-78 season, they ended Meng Xing's hope of four consecutive championships with the goal difference advantage, and in the 1980s, they also performed well and contributed to international players such as tony schumacher, Allofs, Park Jung Su Barski and Hasley.

1983-84 to 1989-90 season

With the gradual decline of teams such as Menxing and Hamburg, Bayern's dominance began to become hard to regret. In the1980s, the last seven league titles were all exclusive to Bayern.

Stuttgart, Bremen and Cologne have the ability to challenge Bayern during this period. The top two each won the championship, and the last two each won the runner-up. However, there is still a big gap between their lineup and financial resources.

1990-9 1 to 1995-96 season

Due to the merger of the former East Germany, in the 199 1-92 season, the Bundesliga had 20 teams for the first time and completed 38 rounds, which is the only season in which the Bundesliga has 20 teams so far.

During this period, Bayern's performance fluctuated somewhat and the overall situation was not ideal. Only won the 1 league championship, and the coach changed frequently. Dortmund was the most outstanding team, winning two consecutive championships in 1994-95 and 1995-96. From the lineup, it is also an equal opponent of Bayern like Menxing and Hamburg, and the number of German international players in the team exceeds Bayern.

In addition, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and other teams also performed brilliantly, especially Stuttgart's "iron triangle" composed of Elber, bobic and Balakov is famous at home and abroad.

1996-97 to 200 1-02 season

The first thing worth writing is Kaiserslautern, who created the miracle of winning the championship that year. It's amazing! In the following seasons, Leverkusen became the most concerned team. For many seasons, their performance seems to have ended Bayern's dream of winning the championship, but each time they failed unfortunately.

The 200 1-02 season was Dortmund's madness. The investment and luck of 1 billion mark won back a league championship, but the legacy lasted for several years, which made the team fall into the middle level.

2002-03 to 20 1 1- 12 season

During this period, except for Werder Bremen's convincing performance in the 2003-04 season, all the other champions were contributed by Bayern itself.

Although some strong teams such as Schalke 04 performed well, they were not stable enough to pose a real threat to Bayern.

According to this pattern, Bayern's monopoly on the Bundesliga champion is hard to break.

However, Dortmund, which relies on a group of young players, poses a fatal threat to Bayern, and Bayern's defense this season is worrying. Although Bayern has many good attackers, it is difficult to resist the youth storm in Dortmund, which made Dortmund win the first-class championship of German football in 20 10/20 1 1 season.

In the 20112 season, Dortmund successfully defended its title with a single-season unbeaten record of 28 consecutive rounds, although it was 8 points behind Bayern.

The strongest champion

Bayern Munich set a new Bundesliga championship record six rounds ahead of schedule, and the team is bound to put more energy into the Champions League.

Bayern fans also expect that after the 2000-200 1 season, the team can reach the top of Europe again, and even write an unprecedented history of "Triple Crown".

( 1969- 1977)

In the early 1970s, Horst-gregorio Caneiras, then chairman of Offenbach Kickers, exposed the bribery scandal that shocked the Bundesliga on June 6th. 197 1.

Because of the relegation competition of the points system, Hongbai Oberhausen and bielefeld were able to stay in the Bundesliga successfully.

In the last eight rounds of the 1970-7 1 season, the German Football Association found that the 18 match was rigged and punished 52 players, 2 coaches and 6 team officials involved.

However, due to the wide range of teams involved, the complicated results of the competition were affected. Only the kickers bielefeld and offenbach of the six teams involved were revoked the permission to participate in the Bundesliga.

In the following period, the reputation of the Bundesliga fell to the bottom.

The spectators punished the team by refusing to enter the stadium.

Although the number of visitors has been declining continuously since 1965-66 season, the most significant decline is from 6.3 million in1970-7/kloc-0 season to 5.4 million in 197 1-72 season, and/kloc.

In addition to the scandal, there were other reasons for the decrease in audience at that time, including the lack of comfort in the stadium and the increase in TV reports.

Only by taking advantage of Germany's hosting of the 1974 World Cup, many stadiums have been rebuilt, expanded or built, especially thanks to their profits, so that their audience numbers have climbed again with their popularity.

In addition, the Bundesliga team also achieved great success in the international arena during this period.

M? nchengladbach became the first Bundesliga team to successfully defend its title in 1970-7 1 season.

In the following six seasons, Bayern Munich and M? nchengladbach successively won the championship with "hat tricks", and this achievement can only be achieved again in Bayern Munich (1985- 1987 and 1999-200 1).

From 1969 for nine consecutive seasons, these two teams won the Bundesliga championship.

Bayern Munich 1972 moved into the new Munich Olympic Stadium for the Munich Olympic Games.

Compared with Bavarian rivals, M? nchengladbach's own stadium has fewer audience seats, and the core players are always resold abroad.

Therefore, at the end of 1970, it is no longer competitive.

1977 is the last time that M? nchengladbach won the Bundesliga title. The team was even relegated in 1999 and 2007, and Bayern Munich was able to continue to expand its dominance in the Bundesliga for a period of time.

In a 1978 Bundesliga match on April 29th, M? nchengladbach beat Dortmund with 12:0 at home, creating the most unbalanced score victory in the Bundesliga history.

1976, Belgian player Rogge Van Gur joined Cologne, and his transfer fee reached 1 10,000 Deutsche Mark for the first time in Germany.

In the following years, both the transfer fee and the player's salary continued to increase substantially.

1970s was the most successful year for the Bundesliga team in the international arena.

During this period, at least 1 teams enter the semi-finals of the three European cups every year. When * * * won three European Champions Cups (from 65,438+0,974 to 65,438+0,976 in Bayern Munich), 65,438+0 European Winners Cup (from 65,438+0,977 in Hamburg) and three UEFA Cups (from M? nchengladbach)

The Bundesliga also won all four teams in the semi-final of the UEFA Cup in 1980, which has not been achieved by other national leagues so far.

( 1979- 1990)

In the 1980 season, the attendance rate of Bundesliga audience dropped again.

This is mainly because some German stars have jumped ship to foreign teams.

At that time, the most striking thing was Karl Heinz rummenigge's transfer from Bayern Munich to Inter Milan, and the transfer fee exceeded 6,543,800,000 German marks for the first time.

The achievements of boris becker and Stefanie Graf have also shifted the interest of the media and audience to tennis courts.

Although the national team entered the World Cup finals with 1982 and 1986, its performance was still unattractive.

In order to offset the lack of audience and the fact that the venue often can't be played in bad weather in winter, the winter break period is extended to 8 weeks from 1986.

Hamburg has been the protagonist against Bayern since the late period of 1970s, relying on the outstanding performances of main stars horst hrubesch, Manfred Kaltz and felix magath.

After 1979 won the Bundesliga championship for the first time, Hamburg won it twice with 1982 and 1983 respectively under the leadership of Austrian coach Ernst Happel, who became the most successful foreign coach in the Bundesliga.

However, Hamburg's great cause of three consecutive championships was not realized in the end, because 1983-84 season was runner-up because the goal difference was less than that of Stuttgart.

Bayern Munich, on the other hand, has withstood the negative impact of the departure of outstanding players in the late 1970s, and can continue its past achievements in the new year.

However, since the mid-1980s, they have had to face the competition from the northern renaissance city of Werder Bremen.

Werder Bremen, coached by otto rehhagel, was also called "Kellerkind" in1970s, and even dropped into the Bundesliga in 1980-8 1 season, but they quickly upgraded and continued to top the Bundesliga standings.

Bayern Munich consolidated its dominant position during this period, winning the 9th and 10th Bundesliga trophies with 1986 and 1987, becoming the team that won the most football titles in Germany.

The original record was held by Nuremberg, which won nine championships (eight of which were won before the establishment of the Bundesliga).

The competition between Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen lasted for several years. Werder Bremen finally won his second Bundesliga trophy in 1988 after two failed championships in 1985 and 1986, and maintained a strong momentum in the following seasons.

1980 The Bundesliga team entered the European Champions Cup final (Hamburg 1983 won the championship) and the UEFA Cup final (Bayer Leverkusen 1988 won the championship) four times.

Although until 1984, at least 1 Bundesliga teams entered the semi-finals of European competitions every year, it was not as good as their achievements in 1970.

The popularity of the Bundesliga has been rising since the early 1990s.

On the one hand, it benefited from the national team's performance (1990 won the World Cup for the third time, and 1996 won the European Cup for the third time), on the other hand, it also benefited from the Bundesliga becoming the target market of the media.

Since 1990 Primier TV began to broadcast the Bundesliga live, German satellite 1 TV also took over the TV rights of Saturday night's game after 1.

After the reunification of Germany and Germany, the East German Football Association was merged into the German Football Association on 199 1.

Because the East German football league system is similar to that of West Germany, Lufthansa Rostock and Dynamo Dresden were able to enter the Bundesliga from the East German senior league.

Therefore, in the 199 1-92 season, the Bundesliga was temporarily expanded to 20 teams, of which the number of relegation places will be as many as 4 teams.

Stuttgart won the Bundesliga championship for the first time after World War II, and defeated Frankfurt and Dortmund to reach the top in the final round.

During this period, the competitive strength of Bundesliga teams was more balanced than in previous years, and five teams won the championship with 10.

Dortmund has invested heavily in bringing in European Cup champions such as You Ergen Corell, Stefan Reuters and Andreas M?ller from overseas, thus becoming one of Bayern's main competitors.

In addition to Stuttgart and Werder Bremen, Kaiserslautern also won the Bundesliga championship with 1998, becoming the first and only team to win the championship directly after upgrading from the Bundesliga.

In the 1 1990s, the Bundesliga also had at least 1 teams in the semi-finals of European competitions every year, among which1won the Champions League (1Dortmund in 997) and the UEFA Cup twice (1Bayern Munich in 996 and/kloc-0).

Some emerging teams such as Karlsruhe, Fribourg and Wolfsburg qualified for the UEFA Cup in the first Bundesliga season, and Karlsruhe even entered the UEFA Cup semi-final with 1994.

However, some traditional strong teams in the Bundesliga, such as Frankfurt, M? nchengladbach and Kaiserslautern, experienced the first relegation during this period.

Bayern Munich has won seven Bundesliga titles since 2000.

Other teams that won the championship during this period include Dortmund (2002, 201and 20 12), Werder Bremen (2004), Stuttgart (2007) and Wolfsburg, which won the championship for the first time in 2009.

The Bundesliga champion in this period is often not decided until the final round.

1999-00 season, Leverkusen only needed to draw with Ontehaxing in the final round to win the championship, but the 0-2 defeat made him lose the championship to Bayern Munich.

A more dramatic championship battle took place in the following season. Schalke 04 mistakenly thought it had been crowned the Bundesliga champion after the final round, but Bayern Munich successfully defended its title with a goal in stoppage time.

Therefore, Schalke 04 is called "Master Herzen" by its fans.

On August 24th, 2003, Hamburg, known as the "dinosaur of the Bundesliga", played against the "champion of record" at home, thus opening the curtain of 40 years of the Bundesliga.

In the same year, the Bundesliga began to set up champion stars for champion teams.

June 5438 +2005 10, the gambling scandal involving football referee Robert H shocked the Germans.

But the events involved are only in the Bundesliga, the German Football Association Cup and regional leagues.

The German Football Association and the German Football Professional League established an early warning system immediately after the scandal to monitor unusual bets in the future.

Despite this, the total audience record of the Bundesliga stadium is constantly refreshing.

The 306 matches in the 2004-05 season attracted more than 65,438+065,438+0,560,000 spectators (with an average of 37,786,5438+0), the highest among the five major leagues in Europe.

Dortmund's average attendance at home is also the highest among European teams, reaching 77,235 people per game.

The reason for the increasing number of spectators is that Germany has rebuilt and built many modern stadiums in order to host the 2006 World Cup, and the stadiums have added business boxes according to different audience needs. And the public's interest in football has generally increased, and the number of female spectators has also accounted for a considerable proportion.

After entering the new millennium, the Bundesliga team entered the Champions League finals twice in a row (Bayern Munich 5438+0 in 2006 and Leverkusen in 2002) and the UEFA Cup finals 1 time (Dortmund in 2002).

Bayern Munich won the Champions League 200 1, which was the only time that the Bundesliga team won the championship in Europe in 2000.

Werder Bremen and Hamburg met in the UEFA Cup semi-final in 2009. The former won, becoming the first Bundesliga team to enter the European finals since 2002.

But in the end, Werder Bremen lost to Donetsk miners by 1:2 in overtime.

Bayern Munich, which entered 20 10, entered the final of the European Champions League on 20 10 and 20 12 respectively, but they all missed the championship.

But in the 20 12- 13 season, Dortmund and Bayern Munich successfully joined hands in the Champions League final, and the latter was crowned the European champion again after 12.

The Bundesliga has thus become the fourth league to win the Champions League after La Liga, Serie A and Premier League.
