However, although the New Culture Movement didn't regard China's traditional culture as dross, didn't completely deny the tradition, and didn't completely oppose the tradition, it was an indisputable fact that China's traditional culture was largely abandoned from that period. Sinology has encountered an unprecedented crisis, and more and more people "abandoned their own culture and accepted foreign culture in an all-round way, thus causing the rupture of China's traditional cultural history", which made the status of Sinology plummet and plunged into an embarrassing situation of being denied and criticized. The surging tide of modern market economy, driven and influenced by practical utilitarianism, has intensified our loss of understanding and inheritance of Chinese studies. Over the years, the value orientation of attaching importance to reason and neglecting literature has neglected the understanding and reference of excellent traditional culture, which has contributed to the confusion and lack of culture. Therefore, I have a vague understanding of the concept of Chinese studies, a complaint that Chinese studies are not practical, a sigh that it is too extravagant to spend time learning Chinese studies, and an embarrassment that everyone only reads practical books to improve their competitiveness.
