Children's simple lantern making method

Children's lanterns are made as follows:

1, Prepare 12 inches x 12 inches colored paper (one sheet is enough for a lantern), ruler, cutting mat, scissors, art knife, glue, pencil and so on.

2. Take out a sheet of colored paper, put the color side down, and horizontally mark 1.5, 4.5, 6, 7.5, and 10.5-inch marks, followed by marking vertical lines every 1/2 inch.

3. Draw the top and bottom horizontal lines, 3 inches away from both the top and bottom edges, and cut off the leftmost drawn portion of the line in the middle of these two lines, as well as cut the rest of the vertical lines in the middle of both lines with a knife. ?

4. Keep the cut off part and fold it 1.5 inches from the top and bottom edges.

5, Apply glue, roll up and paste it to make a cylinder, make a 1/2 inch cut at the top and bottom edges, this helps to fold them up.

6, Fold in the top and bottom cutouts while squeezing up and down to make a lantern shape.

7: Take out the strip of paper you cut out earlier and fold it in half to open it up.

8.Then fold the left and right sides towards the center crease and glue it.

9.Install the handle halfway inside the edge of the lantern.
