The 5th National Xingyiquan and Wushu Pusher Invitational Tournament and the 23rd Traditional Wushu and Sanda Challenge were held in Heshun, Shanxi.

Sponsored by Shanxi Sports Bureau, Shanxi Sports General Association, Shanxi Xingyiquan Association and Shanxi heshun county People's Government, the "2006 Shanxi Heshun Coal Transport Cup 5th National Xingyiquan and Wushu Pusher Invitational Tournament and 23rd Traditional Wushu and Sanda Challenge" was held in heshun county Gymnasium, Shanxi Province from August 6th to July 20th, 2006. More than16 teams from 13 provinces and cities all over the country and all over Shanxi participated in this grand event. Among the athletes participating in the competition, the oldest is 75 years old and the youngest is only 5 years old, which fully embodies the popularization and deepening of China traditional Wushu in China and shows the incomparable charm of excellent Wushu culture.

There are five items in this competition: Xingyiquan, Machinery, Traditional Boxing, Machinery, Tai Ji Chuan, Sanda Challenge and Pushing Hands Challenge. Xingyi Boxing is divided into 19, traditional boxing is divided into 10, and Tai Ji Chuan has six small tops. Sanda ring is divided into male and female 10 level and 5 level, and the pusher level is 7. After four days of fierce competition, the prizes of each project were taken away and the laurels were settled. The top three teams in each major group are:

In this grand competition, athletes from all over the world fully demonstrated their ability of civilized communication and noble spirit of competition. In particular, the team of Yang Yucheng, a master of Harbin, took out three unique skills of Shanxi Xingyiquan: machete, sword and Liuhe stick, and each trick won warm applause.

The competition also attracted foreign friends from Singapore and Russian who love China's traditional Wushu. Russian friends also participated in the competition. These "foreign disciples" of China Wushu practice attentively and meticulously, no less than China people, adding a beautiful scenery to the competition.

This Wushu Pushing Hands Competition is the fifth time in Shanxi, and it gets better every time. Because it has three characteristics: first, it is not allowed to kick, safe and reliable, and does not hurt the other side; Second, cuddling and pulling the hardtop are not allowed; Third, the ring is too small to run. We have to try our best to subdue each other with skill. Under such rules, the martial arts of various sects can be brought into full play at will, showing their abilities, which has been applauded by the contestants and enhanced the confidence of the organizers.

The contest was a complete success. Wulin experts from all directions showed their majestic posture and superb skills on the field and won warm cheers from the audience. This competition is an unprecedented martial arts event in heshun county, a red tourist resort in Taihang Mountain. The superb skills and tenacious fighting spirit of the athletes have deeply infected the people here. It is believed that this spirit and strength will have a long-term impact and promotion on the development and popularization of local Wushu. Shanxi Xingyiquan Association, as an organization to promote and develop Shanxi traditional folk martial arts, has persistently promoted and developed Xingyiquan and Shanxi traditional martial arts for more than 20 years, which will definitely have a positive impact on the development of China traditional martial arts.
