Brief introduction of nixing pottery

Nixing pottery, taking the purple mud peculiar to the east and west banks of Qinjiang River in Qinzhou City, Guangxi Province as raw materials, sealed the east mud and retrieved the west mud, which was crushed, dissolved and oxidized by the sun and rain for more than four to six months, and reached the weathering state. Then, after breaking the ground, they are mixed according to the ratio of 4:6 to make a ceramic blank.

The east mud is as soft as meat, and the west mud is as hard as bone. Blood and flesh can support each other, and Ni Xing pottery is formed by Ni Xing pottery firing technology.

Nixing pottery's works of art in Qinzhou won the gold medal in the international exposition held in San Francisco in 19 15, ranking among the four famous ceramics in China.

It is well-known at home and abroad with Jiangsu Yixing Zisha Pottery, Yunnan Jianshui Pottery and Sichuan Rongchang Pottery.

In the past century, Ni Xing ceramics participated in many international and domestic exhibitions and won more than 40 awards. Products are exported to more than 30 countries and regions such as Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, America, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

In June, 2008, the State Council approved the pottery firing technique of Ni Xing in Qinzhou, Guangxi as a national intangible cultural heritage.
