In a narrow sense, the law of evidence is a law to solve some standards of actions and facts of litigants in determining the facts of a case and the problem of litigation risk sharing.
Evidence law in a broad sense is the sum of laws and regulations on the collection, production, preservation, submission and application of evidence. Evidence law is essentially a kind of legal "cognitive law", which is based on experience and the basic method is probabilistic. Therefore, no law of evidence can be a natural law of fact finding.
