Dragon Boat Festival press release 100 words
On the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional folk festival in China. It is one of the oldest traditional festivals of the Chinese nation. On this day, people must do three activities, namely, dragon boat racing, eating zongzi and drinking realgar wine, all of which originated from commemorating the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan was a minister in Chu Huaiwang during the Spring and Autumn Period. During his exile, he was still unwilling to abandon his motherland because he saw that his motherland had been invaded. So he wrote his last poem "Huai Sha" on May 5th, and then he threw himself into the river. According to legend, after his death, people rowed on the river to look for him. Some fishermen took out food prepared for him and threw it into the river, saying that they would not bite Qu Yuan after eating it. A doctor took out realgar wine and poured it into the river, saying it was used to calm the dragon water beast so as not to hurt Qu Yuan. Others, in order to prevent the food for Qu Yuan from being eaten by dragons, wrapped rice in leaves and then wrapped rice in colored silk, just like brown seeds now. Over time, the custom of dragon boat racing, eating zongzi and drinking realgar wine has been formed on the fifth day of May every year. It has been more than two thousand years since Qu Yuan died. The reason why we have come to commemorate him for so many years is mainly to learn from his patriotism, adherence to the truth, unyielding spirit and noble personality. Dragon Boat Festival is the oldest traditional festival of our Chinese nation. I hope that each of us will treat every traditional festival in China with love and cherish for the people of the great motherland. Finally, the press corps of the Communist Youth League sincerely wishes everyone a happy Dragon Boat Festival and all the best.
In the future life, I will work smoothly, be healthy, have all the best and spend every day happily.
