How to make a broom by hand

Abstract: Broom is convenient for household hygiene and cleaning, and it is not difficult to make it by hand. Tie raw firewood into small sticks, tie five small sticks together, tie them tightly with tape or rattan, and then tie them tightly with bamboo needles. The following also introduces the production methods of sorghum broom and feng shui broom. The production method and process are similar. Let's learn about the making of brooms! First, the production method of broom

There are many kinds of brooms in the countryside. Ordinary farmers use local materials, collect abandoned firewood on the mountain, and tie it up with vines to make brooms. The production process is as follows:

1, put all the raw materials in order, first tie a small handful, and then tie five small ones into a big broom. Friends who have carefully observed brooms will find that all brooms are made up of five small handles. When tying, first take the broom handle, one meter and eight centimeters, which must be smooth and not prick your hands. The bottom and head should be bent with fire to facilitate tying.

2. Put a pinch of bamboo silk at the elbow and tie it tightly with tape or rattan, roll it four to five times, then put a pinch of rewind tape four to five times, and roll it five times in turn to tie the knot.

3. Finally, tie it tightly with a bamboo needle, and the broom will be finished.

The main varieties of brooms are: bamboo broom, awn broom, golden broom, brown broom, sorghum broom and so on. Here is a brief introduction to the production process of sorghum broom.

Second, the production of sorghum brooms

Process flow: material selection, seed dropping, leaf sheath removal, floor leveling, softening, dust removal and humidification, binding, shell crushing, sulfur fumigation and finished products.

1, material selection. The main raw material is sorghum ears, and brooms with small heads or large heads are made of brooms with scattered ears. The seeds are mashed clean, and the nodes and axes below the leaf sheath are removed. Then separate the scattered spikes from the broom with a hard core in the middle, pick out the scattered spikes and use them as the skin, and the straight spikes as the skeleton of the broom.

2. Divide the selected moderately dispersed spike into two halves with a hand knife. Cut the straight stems of 1000 spikes from the roots of spikes and use them as broom cores. The cut stalks can be used as curtains, and ordinary stalks can be stuffed in the middle of the broom handle. Then, put the sorted millet flat on the hard ground and crush it with stone scorpions until it becomes soft. Then wet the millet with water (put the millet in a jar filled with water or dust or soak it in water), and the wetting time is about 1 hour.

3. Prepare to tie a broom. It takes 0.5 kg of millet and 700 g of wire to make a broom. Take an oil wire rope with a length of four meters and a thickness of 3 ~ 5 mm, one end of which is tied to a foot or door frame in the house, and the other end is tied to the middle of the walking pole. One end behind the walking rod is tied with a rubber band with a width of 7- 10 cm and a length of 80-90 cm, and the other end is connected with one end of the walking rod through a detachable hook. When tying the broom, tie the walking belt around the waist, take 3-4 brooms with the core millet, take 4 brooms with the skin, clamp one as straw, tie it tightly with oil steel wire, press in the 22-25 iron wire to tie the first one, and wrap the iron broom wire twice each way. In the second pass, take 4-core millet, 2-skin millet, 1 straw and continue behind the first pass. Lofa method is the same as the first pass. The third and fourth roads are the same as above. For the fifth and final time, take 4 shelled millet, 1 stalk, add 4 shelled millet on each side, then pull it twice, and then pull it up every 3 ~ 5cm. * * * Le 15 ~ 17.

4. The scraped broom will lose its shell. In order to make it bright, white and not moldy, it needs to be fumigated and disinfected with sulfur. The method is to dig a pit half a meter deep underground, put a piece of sulfur in a bowl or iron box, and block the pit with a wooden stick. There are more than one hundred brooms on the shelf, which can be covered with plastic sheets. After igniting sulfur, it can be sold for about 1 hour.

Third, the production of Feng Shui broom.

(1), buy a new bamboo or brown broom (a broom made of plants), and then tie a new red thread around the broom handle nine times.

(2) Take a new broom, put it on the red broomstick, and sweep it from inside to outside and from back to front at home. When you sweep to the window or the gate, you want to say "sweep away bad luck, go out with bad luck, and everything is gone", or "sweep away bad luck, go out with the poor, and sweep away the unjust poor".

(3) When you feel uncomfortable, sleepy or unlucky on weekdays, you can do this to get rid of bad luck, but you must buy a new broom and a red thread every time you do it. In addition, under normal circumstances, this method is also used to avoid disasters at the end of the year.

(4) After sweeping, you can sweep the floor normally with a broom, and the tied red line can also be removed; In addition, if family members often have nightmares at night, they can hang this broom upside down on the door in the bedroom house and stand up against the door to eliminate nightmares. One more thing to remember, on the first day of New Year's Day, this broom should be kept away from being seen, and it is not allowed to sweep the floor that day, so as not to violate bad luck.

(5) If your husband or work is unlucky, please sweep the northwest with a broom. If your wife or family is unlucky, please sweep the southwest with a broom. If the husband and wife are at odds or have a marital crisis, please sweep the bed with a broom; If you are poor, please sweep the "poor" out of the house with a broom.
