What are the fertilization characteristics of leek? How to fertilize?
1. Leek is a perennial vegetable, which has been planted and harvested for many years. It belongs to vegetables with long growth period. Leek needs higher soil fertility than other vegetables. The leek planted in the first year is not fully developed and needs less fertilizer. 2 ~ 4-year-old leek has strong tillering ability and the highest yield, and the required fertilizer also increases accordingly. The growth of leeks harvested for more than five years and the decline of soil fertility are serious. In order to improve soil fertility, promote growth and prevent premature aging, a large number of organic fertilizers need to be applied.
2. Fertilization of seedlings. When leek is sown, 8000- 10000 kg of fermented and decomposed fertilizer and 40-60 kg of calcium superphosphate are applied to each mu of seedbed, and the fertilizer is evenly spread on the surface, then ploughing, leveling and sowing are carried out. After the emergence of leek seeds, combine with watering, smear them with diluted human urine and feces for 2 ~ 3 times, and then transplant them in time. When fertilizing leeks at seedling stage, remember to water and fertilize at the same time to avoid fertilizer damage.
3. Top dressing during the growth period, and fertilizing in the first year after planting: water leeks immediately after planting to ensure the survival of seedlings. After the new leaves of Chinese chives grow, 1000 ~ 2000 kg of diluted human excrement or 15 ~ 20 kg of urea should be applied per mu of water. Autumn is the most suitable season for leek growth. Every 10 ~ 15 days, use 20 ~ 26 kilograms of ammonium sulfate per mu or 2000 ~ 4000 kilograms of thoroughly fermented human excrement, and water and fertilize at the same time. The fertilization process of leek in the whole growth period is: fertilization at seedling stage, transplanting base fertilizer and fertilization at growth stage. Leek is a perennial vegetable. Its growing period is very long. Water and fertilize every harvest in the future. After five years, each fertilization must be appropriately increased to promote growth, increase yield and delay aging.
