Provisions of Hebei Province on Air Checked Baggage

Legal analysis: 1. Personal belongings. Passengers with first class/business class tickets can carry two items with them; Passengers with economy class tickets can only carry one item with them. The weight of each piece of luggage brought into the cabin is not more than 5 kg. The volume of each personal belongings shall not exceed 20×40×55 cm. Carry-on articles exceeding the above weight, number of pieces or volume limit shall be checked as checked baggage. 2. checked baggage 1. The maximum weight of each piece of checked baggage cannot exceed 50 kg, and the volume cannot exceed 40×60× 100 cm. Baggage exceeding the above requirements should be checked with the consent of Hebei Airlines in advance. 2. Free baggage allowance for each passenger (checked baggage): 40 kg for first class/business class passengers with adult tickets or children tickets, 30 kg for economy class passengers enjoying fun and 20 kg for economy class passengers. Passengers who pay baby fares have no free baggage allowance.

Article 112 When the carrier checks the baggage, the baggage ticket may be included in the passenger ticket or merged with the passenger ticket. In addition to the provisions of Article 110 of this Law, the baggage declaration shall also include the following contents:

(1) The quantity and weight of the checked baggage;

(2) If the interests of the checked baggage need to be declared at the time of delivery at the destination, the declared amount shall be indicated.

The baggage claim tag is the preliminary evidence of the contract conditions of baggage consignment and transportation.

The existence or validity of the contract of carriage shall not be affected by the passengers' inability to show their baggage tickets or the fact that the baggage tickets are not in conformity with the regulations or are lost.

In domestic air transport, if the carrier carries checked baggage without issuing a baggage ticket, the carrier has no right to invoke the provisions of Article 128 of this Law concerning the limitation of liability.

In international air transport, if the carrier fails to issue the baggage label when transporting the checked baggage, or fails to declare the baggage label in accordance with the provisions of Item (3) of Article 110 of this Law, the carrier has no right to invoke the provisions of Article 129 of this Law concerning the limitation of liability.

Article 113 The carrier has the right to ask the shipper to fill in the air waybill, and the shipper has the right to ask the carrier to accept the air waybill. The fact that the shipper cannot produce the air waybill, the air waybill does not meet the requirements or the air waybill is lost does not affect the existence or validity of the contract of carriage.
