How to play checkers How to jump

The object of the game of checkers is to jump all the pieces of your side to the opposite corner to win. The number of players cannot be 1 or 5. with 4 or 6 players, one side's corner must be the other side. with 3 players, one side's corner cannot be the other side. The opening game is played with both sides' zones filled with pieces. Pieces can either move one square to an adjacent space or jump over an adjacent piece and land on the square in front of that piece. One piece is moved per step.

The movement of a piece may be made step by step in six adjacent directions connected by a straight line, and if there is only one piece in a line segment formed by any empty space on the same line as any other empty space and located in the middle of that segment on any side, it may jump directly to that empty space, and the jumps may be made consecutively as long as the same conditions are met.

Extended information:

A game of checkers can be divided into three phases: the opening, the middlegame, and the closing. The opening is generally within 10 moves, from the movement of the pieces of both sides to the initial contact of the pieces with each other; the middlegame is the stage in which the pieces of both sides are entangled together, fighting for the way out, while at the same time setting up obstacles for the other side; and the closing is the stage in which the pieces of both sides are basically separated, and each of them enters into the opposite side's position as soon as possible in its own way.

The three phases are not distinct. In a game of checkers, in the opening, you have to see the direction of the middle game and prepare for it; and when the middle game is about to end, you have to design the best plan for the closing in advance.
