In fact, it is a summary of the law of qi and blood movement in human body according to the theory of six pillars of meridians, that is, qi and blood run around the two meridians of Ren Du, which is called "Xiao Zhou Tian". If the running path includes the twelve meridians, his zang-fu organs and eight strange meridians, its running cycle is called "Big Sunday". The road map of meridians on different days is one of the foundations of all qigong theories.
Inner alchemy, in a broad sense, also belongs to one of many qigong exercises, but its purpose and method of cultivation are very different from other common health-keeping exercises. First of all, the so-called inner Dan is relative to the "outer Dan". Taoist practice takes "whole life" (that is, prolonging life) as the fundamental practice content. The early Taoist Dante School used natural substances to synthesize Dan medicine and take it to prolong life (this can also be regarded as the pioneer of primitive chemistry and early Chinese medicine, and it is said that gunpowder, one of the four great inventions, came from Dante School). Later, some people think that the so-called elixir is inherent in the human body, and it is not necessary to seek it from the outside, as long as it is properly trained-this is the origin of the Taoist Inner Elixir School. Inner alchemy is produced under this background. The basic method is to imagine the trunk of human body as an alchemist's cauldron, with essence as the main raw material for refining medicine, the gas of five internal organs as civil and military fire, and the breath as wind, so as to condense the "medicine" in the body and gradually form Dan. This is the so-called Inner Dan, also known as "Then Dan". Of course, there are many schools of internal alchemy in concrete practice, and the details are quite complicated.
Neidan School believes that the human body itself is an energy polymer, and its energy attributes can be divided into congenital (essence, qi and blood, spirit and other energy substances that can directly promote cell metabolism) and acquired (Shui Gu qi, soul, etc.). People's aging is first because of the loss of weather, but the transformation of acquired qi is not as good as that. Therefore, by condensing innate energy, the purpose of prolonging life can be achieved. From this perspective, it was just a repository of human innate energy.
