In recent years, the animation industry in China has developed rapidly, and the number of users in the animation market is also increasing. In June 2020, Weibo Animation released the White Paper on Weibo Animation in 2020. The data shows that by April 2020, there are 292 million users in Weibo, with the growth rate exceeding 10%.

Among the nearly 300 million pan-secondary users, nearly 50.23% are female users and 49.77% are male users. The gender ratio is relatively balanced.

In the consumption of related goods, the payment for the periphery and content of genuine animation is more popular, with 58% and 56% of animation users paying for the periphery and content of genuine animation respectively.
