During the Lantern Festival, some women who want to have children early will sneak into community temples and ancestral halls at night, steal some lanterns and take them home to pray for their children early. On this day, Manchu and Han people in the east of Inner Mongolia steamed sticky rice noodles in small bowls, while Manchu and Han people in the west steamed sticky rice noodles in small bowls. However, some Han people in central and western Inner Mongolia call the 10th day of the first month the mouse wedding day.
