Is there heating in Hunan?

There is no heating in Changsha, Hunan Province in winter.

Hunan province does not provide central heating in winter, generally there is no heating, and individual families can install air conditioning. The coldest time in winter in Changsha may be around-5-7 degrees, and the air humidity in Hunan is high, so cold air can easily penetrate into the body, so Hunan may feel colder than the northeast in winter.

However, there are some self-heating communities in Hunan, but compared with central heating in the north, self-heating is connected with a wall-hung boiler in addition to radiators.

The most common heating method in winter in Hunan;

1, open flame heating

Open flame includes coal fire and firewood, which is simple to use, convenient to operate and low in cost. In rural areas of Hunan, especially the elderly after 70 s and 60 s, they especially like this relatively traditional way of heating.

But this method is not suitable for cities, because the carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide produced in the combustion process are harmful to human body, and the traditional stove is used at night and in a closed environment, which is in danger of air poisoning. Urban living space is small, air fluency is not enough, and fires are prone to occur.

2. Natural energy heating

The basic value is solar energy and geothermal energy, and the advantage is health and environmental protection. However, the use of natural energy requires a lot of investment and related technology, which makes it difficult for ordinary people to use it.

Moreover, the lack of sunshine in winter in Hunan is greatly affected by the weather, and solar energy can only be used as an auxiliary heating method. Geothermal energy, on the other hand, has geographical restrictions and its application scope is very limited.
