History of Nippon Butterfly Yagami Shirt Co. In 1896 (Meiji 29), the founder, Momozo Asano, gave Asano Shoten the name "Chiuya" and changed the company name to Chiuya No. Asano Shoten, and two years later in 1896 (Meiji 31), the name was changed to Chiuya Shoten.
