Bat is the name of Chiroptera, including many kinds.

Due to different varieties, habits vary greatly. For example, most insect-eating bats (nocturnal) rely on echolocation, while fruit-eating bats such as flying foxes and fruit bats (daytime) rely on their eyes.

Most nocturnal bats like to rest in caves and eaves, while diurnal bats like to rest in trees.

Some bats in temperate regions have hibernation habits, while bats in hot regions do not.
