Why do many cartoons have this scene and this door?
The Japanese believe that birds are the embodiment of human souls, including good souls and dirty souls. Birds can't get close to shrines, so an "open" arch named torii was built about 200 meters in front of the main entrance of each shrine. If birds lived here, they wouldn't fly into the shrine. ?
Among the shrines in various parts of Japan, the Inada Cultural Fair in Kyoto should be the first shrine famous for torii. Because someone wants to present a torii, there are many torii in the long tunnel in front of the door, which is called "Thousands of torii". In addition, the Sea Shrine of Yandao Shrine in Hiroshima Prefecture is also one of the famous torii that is often used to symbolize Japanese traditional belief culture.
Torii is composed of a pair of thick wooden columns, with beams on them and square under them. Some of the ends of the beam protrude outward, and some are inserted into the column. The famous torii, such as Ise Shrine, is simple and elegant. Since the introduction of China architecture in the 7th century, some changes have taken place in the form of torii, such as columns with lateral feet, beams raised at both ends, and even arches.
It is said that "torii" is the difference between the world of God and the world of man. When you step into "torii", it means that you have entered the world of God, so you should pay special attention to all actions. Torii is made of copper, iron and wood, and it is said that there are seven or eight styles. What materials are used and what styles are chosen are not directly related to the financial resources of the shrine. Most of the "torii" were built on land, and some were built on water. In fact, "torii" is based on the shape of a temple in China, so it is shaped like a door. But after the Japanese changed the boundary between God and man, it became what we see today. There is more than one large shrine in torii.
