Specialty Setting of Textile and Clothing College of Nantong University

The School of Textile and Apparel of Nantong University now has four teaching and research sections, 1 experimental center, 2 research institutes, 1 reference room. The experimental center consists of textile materials laboratory, textile professional laboratory, clothing professional laboratory, computer laboratory and studio. It has large-scale testing instruments such as scanning electron microscope and rapid fabric style instrument, advanced equipment such as spinning processing equipment, nonwoven processing equipment, automatic fabric proofing machine, multifunctional sewing equipment, large-scale inkjet printer, plotter and so on, serving teaching and scientific research.

Textile science and engineering is a first-class master's degree program, and it was rated as excellent in the mid-term examination of the school from 2065 438+00 to 2065 438+03. It was selected by Nantong University as a school-level key construction discipline (provincial key discipline cultivation point), and applied for doctoral degree authorization to cultivate disciplines on 20 13.

The college has five undergraduate majors: textile engineering, clothing design and engineering, light chemical industry, nonwoven materials and engineering, and clothing and apparel design. Among them, textile engineering is the first batch of brand specialty construction sites in Nantong University, and light chemical engineering, clothing design and engineering are the first batch of characteristic specialty construction sites in Nantong University. In 20 13, four majors, textile engineering, light chemical engineering, fashion design and engineering, and nonwoven materials and engineering, were selected as key construction majors at the school level.
