The Development of Dulong Clothing
After the founding of New China, with the introduction of modern civilization, great changes have taken place in Dulong costumes. The production of Dulong carpet has changed from wild plant fiber to cotton and cashmere wool textiles. Dulong carpets are colorful, beautiful and strong, and the textile processing is exquisite, which fully embodies the aesthetic concept and unique clothing culture connotation of Dulong people.
Dulong people's costumes are relatively simple, and the Dulong carpets covered by shawls during the day are their most important traditional national costumes. Dulong carpet is strong and wear-resistant, and leans backward, from the right shoulder to the left armpit to the chest, and knotted at the right shoulder to expose the left shoulder and right arm. Some women use two pieces, sloping from shoulder to knee, and the left and right wings are forward. Dulong carpet is woven by hand waist machine. In the past, pure linen yarn was mostly used for spinning. Women have always liked to weave single dragon carpets with cotton, wool and linen yarns of various colors, making them softer in texture and more elegant in stripe patterns.
