How long are Canadian university vacations

Winter break at Canadian universities usually lasts from mid-December to early January, and summer vacation is usually a 4-month break of 5, 6, 7 and 8***.

In addition to international holidays such as New Year's Day, there are numerous national and religious holidays in Canada, some of which are public holidays, including Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day on the last Monday before May 24, National Day, and Labor Day on the first Monday in September. Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, on which the government, banks and other institutions are closed and most businesses are closed.

When festivals such as Irish Day (Saint Patrick's Day) on March 17, Halloween on October 31, and Christmas Eve come around, there are lively celebrations even though they are not public holidays. In addition, there are numerous festivals in Canada, including the beautiful Canadian Tulip Festival in Ottawa in the last two weeks of May, and the sweet Maple Syrup Festival on Canadian maple sugar farms in March. Local festivals, such as Quebec Winter Carnival in February and Alberta's Klondike Days in July, also attract many visitors each year.
