I am anxious to find an article about my favorite building and its reasons. The word count is about 1000 words.

This is a dim night. Noisy, blurred, restless, passionate, everywhere in the city. The flashing neon lights are reflected on the faces of city passers-by, accompanied by a melancholy expression and an impulse to vent their desires. I am also a city person, but I chose silence and loneliness. Stop at the bank of Xiangjiang River, wander around the top of Yuelu Mountain, quietly look at the city lights, feel the artistic charm of modern urban architecture, unconsciously spread, wander between the art of architecture and the spirit of law, and try to find a meeting point between sensibility and rationality, and integrate them. In this comparative perspective, I try to find a new way on the road of legal research and a new perspective to examine the internal logical balance and structural value of law.

First, the movement in solidification.

When it comes to the beauty of architecture, people often take the phrase "architecture is solidified music" as the crown. It is true that the formal language of architecture is very similar to music, and they emphasize the symmetry of time and space. The doors and windows of the building facade are the rhythm and notes of music. The formal language of architecture, like the language of music, emphasizes a hazy state in expression, rather than a straightforward confession. However, the building itself is not in a state of solidification. The existence, function and aesthetics of architecture have their own spiritual dimension at a higher level, showing a four-dimensional complex situation and a topological structure. With the improvement of human understanding, architectural art has gained new life. With the appreciation and interpretation of art, seemingly solidified buildings have been reactivated, and the ancient Parthenon and the exquisite Yellow Crane Tower have also gained new significance and value in this activation. The value of this solidification movement is strikingly similar to that of law. Code of hammurabi, carved on black basalt, has a history of more than 2700 years, but in today's legal education and research, we still appreciate this early human behavior norm. It has been 200 years since the promulgation of the French Civil Code, but its basic principles and spirit have not been imprisoned because of the solidified code words. But with the continuous development of the times, we gain new life in the practice and research of law, constantly update, surpass and create our own value dimension.

Second, between opening and closing.

Architecture, as a discipline combining art and engineering, can't be self-sufficient and complete in itself. It must be supported by the double pillars of structural mechanics and humanistic spirit to develop continuously. With the rapid development of human science and technology, some new architectural terms have been born in recent years, such as construction economics, architectural ecology, architectural ethics and green building. Among them, the flowing water villa designed by Knight, an American design studio, and the integrated design of steel frame and hillside of the teaching building of Royal Women's College in the United States are representative works of ecological and green buildings in the new era. On the other hand, isn't this the scene in law? Legal research hovers between opening and closing. Some jurists believe that the methodology and value orientation of law itself can completely solve all problems in legal research. This thought has long occupied an extremely prominent position in the historical development of law. With the development and renewal of modern science and technology, great changes have taken place in human ideology. The concept of communication and integration has been integrated into the brain of every modern person. With the vigorous development of economics, sociology, biology and other disciplines, law itself is gradually involved in these disciplines, thus giving birth to sub-disciplines such as legal economics, legal sociology and legal anthropology, and their unique research methods. Among them, Richard, an American expert in law and economics, is the representative. Answer? Judge Posner, legal sociologist Professor Pound, German Professor Coates, etc.

Third, ethnic and regional differences.

German writer Goethe said: "What unites many souls is sacred." Since ancient times, every nation has its spiritual pillar to unite the people. China is an ancient civilization. After thousands of years of reform and development, its architecture is unique in the world and has a unique cultural tradition. The Great Wall of Wan Li, built in the Qin Dynasty, winds over mountains and mountains, resisting the invasion of the Chinese nation by foreigners for thousands of years. It is the spiritual pillar of our Chinese nation. In far northern Europe, some traditional buildings are mostly spires, which is related to the local winter snow. Limited by local building materials, the roof made of wood can't bear the weight of snow. So the slope of the roof is very large, so that snow will not accumulate on the roof. Although there are solid new materials in the field of building materials today, the Nordic people still retain this inherent style of their architecture.

However, with the acceleration of global economic integration, countries around the world are increasingly closely linked in economy, culture, art, law, science and technology, and the process of global integration is likely to lead to worldwide convergence. The architectural trend of post-modernism emphasizes international style architecture. But as the saying goes, "The more national, the more cosmopolitan." In the field of law, savigny, a representative of German historical law school, said: "A country's law is as national as its language, culture, folk customs and habits, and it exists and dies with the existence of this nation." The development of jurisprudence has experienced a historical evolution from habit to customary law and then to statute law. Since the birth of the law, she has always had strong regional characteristics and national plots. As a sacred architectural art, this national characteristic is becoming more and more important. There are many nationalities and cultures on the earth. It has formed different values and spiritual dimensions, and it is impossible to unify global architecture with a unified architectural concept.

Fourth, the spirit of the rule of law emanating from architecture.

Whenever I wander around the Tsinghua campus, I can't help but take my eyes off all kinds of western buildings. There are German-style Tsinghua schools, American-style auditoriums and libraries, Soviet-style main buildings and departmental libraries of various departments. Of all these buildings, what I like best is Tsinghua University's arm of wisdom. Mingli Building is a courtyard building of Tsinghua University Law School, with a building area of 1 10,000 square meters. Li Ming's architecture is based on "square and circle", and there are iconic patterns of Fiona Fang on the roof and lobby. There are eight thick quasi-Roman columns on the front of the understanding arm, which symbolizes the sacredness and majesty of law and implies that law is the pillar and guarantee of the whole social behavior order. Everyone who comes to law school, whether you are an ordinary citizen, a famous scholar or even the president, must go up more than ten steps to show respect for the law. The design of perceptual arm exudes democracy and academic atmosphere. Every teacher has his own office, where he devotes himself to studying the true meaning of law, spreading rational thinking and expounding the concept of justice in narrow research.

The spirit of rule of law in architecture is not only reflected in the buildings of law schools, but also in the office buildings of courts at all levels. In recent years, because the country has placed the important task of socialist legal system construction in a very important position, the office buildings of courts at all levels have been built one after another, which has changed the shabby scene of the office buildings of the courts in the past, and the majesty of the courts has been reflected at least from the external hardware image. Almost all the office buildings of courts at all levels have quasi-Roman signs, and there are also many steps. During this period, Tsinghua Li Ming's design concept and truth have the same characteristics. However, there are still many problems in the internal design of the court building. First, some courts put stone lions at the door to show off the majesty of the court. There are also honest gendarmes, who at first glance thought it was some national military secret organ. The main function of court building is to provide a place for solving civil disputes. The more developed the economy and legal system, the court will often play a more important role in the daily life of the public. The architectural appearance of the court should not only make people feel the majesty of the law, but also have affinity, making people feel that the road to the court is not dangerous, and going to the court is just a common thing in people's lives. Therefore, it is not advisable to place stone lions at the gate of the court. Inside the court building, the president and vice president often have their own separate offices, while ordinary judges have to live in "collective dormitories". This kind of establishment is similar to the office establishment of administrative organs and cannot reflect the independent status of judges. Even if the office is smaller, you should let every judge have his own office.

The above is my rough thinking on the relationship between modern architectural art and legal spirit. Confusion and discontinuity between thoughts fill the whole article. Due to the lack of knowledge, architecture and law cannot be combined into a harmonious whole. I can only comment from some preliminary appearances and macro angles, which is also a summary of my recent thinking. In fact, the most primitive and essential beauty in architectural art is the balance of architecture. The architecture of each period, whether oriental or western, almost invariably adheres to this basic design idea. The "herringbone" roof in architecture symbolizes an idea of checks and balances and game, which plays an extremely important role in the research, design, practice and application of law. This herringbone structure is not only embodied in substantive law, but also in procedural law. The overall form of the existence and development of modern rule of law is a structure similar to "human". In the development of free capitalist economy, due to over-emphasis on the sanctity of private rights, the herringbone structure is too strong, which eventually leads to the imbalance of the rule of law. In the later period of monopoly capitalist economic development, in order to eliminate this unbalanced influence, people gradually determined the principle of honesty and credit, the principle of public order and good customs and the principle of prohibiting the abuse of rights to check and balance the autonomy of the will through various legislation. So as to build a harmonious and stable private law system structure.

Pound thinks that law is a kind of social engineering, which constructs behavior rules, people's way of thinking and living conditions in a certain local area of human society. Architecture is also a kind of engineering, which constructs people's living space and psychological state. However, because of its inherent nature, architecture has more and more cultural flavor and artistic temperament. The development of modern architecture not only provides places for people to live and work, but also has become a symbol of a country's urban taste and people's living standards. Law is an engineering discipline among social sciences, and architecture is a social science among engineering disciplines. The Romans left an old saying to the German emperor that rule is to make and promulgate laws. It can be seen that the rise and fall of laws and buildings play a decisive role in the rise and fall of a country. The construction of European cities is linked with the perfection of laws. Cologne Cathedral has been built for 600 years, and dozens of generations have done what this generation should do according to the same design scheme, instead of denying or overthrowing the ideas of the previous generation; Dutch people have the money to buy a house, but the decoration of the house is not decided by you. It must be audited by the government according to the unified planning of municipal construction, and even the construction must be carried out by qualified enterprises recognized by the government. The owners cannot go their own way. In Europe, once a city's construction scale and construction plan are passed by the parliament, no one can change it. In this way, architecture and law are closely linked and become two wheels to promote urban development.

Thoughts are still flying with passion in chaos. Looking at the night sky of the city, human beings have created infinite civilization and written all kinds of amazing history. Architecture is the living fossil of history, and law is the lover's table of history. They fix, interpret and express human history and civilization in their own way. We should thank architecture and law, because they complement each other, which makes the rational dimension and emotional space of human beings so colorful and charming.
