What is Father's Day?
Father's Day, as its name implies, is a festival for us to remember and thank our father. It started in America in the 20th century, and the date of Father's Day is different in every country. Due to the influence of western culture, Father's Day has been paid more and more attention in China. In China, according to the date of American Father's Day, it is usually the third Sunday in June every year. During Father's Day, different regions also have different ways to celebrate, generally giving gifts to fathers, family dinners and other activities.
Second, the date of Father's Day.
Father's Day in China was 1945 after War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory. It is proposed by many famous businessmen, politicians and literary circles in Shanghai that China Father's Day will be established on August 8 every year, and China Father's Day will be promoted throughout the country. August 8th, also known as "August 8th Festival", is not only homophonic with the word "father", but also very similar to the word "father" when the eight characters are connected up and down, so August 8th was officially designated as Father's Day in China.
Father's Day is our gratitude to our father and a good cultural tradition, so I hope everyone can send a blessing to his father on Father's Day.
