Introduction of clay figurine dough sculpture
Clay figurine dough figurine is an ancient Han folk art in China, commonly known as kneading dough figurine. It uses soil and clay as the main materials, mixing them into different colors, and shaping various vivid images with hands and simple tools. Because of its rich colors and vivid shapes, it is widely spread among Han people and is deeply loved by people. Noodles are usually made and sold in the streets. In the old society, dough sculptors "walked around in tears just to make a living", carrying boxes, walking around villages and towns and doing things in the streets, and were instantly loved by the masses, but their works were regarded as gadgets and could not be put on the elegant stage. Nowadays, dough sculpture art is valued as a precious intangible cultural heritage, and gadgets have also entered the art hall. Dough sculpture is a simple but artistic folk handicraft. It uses flour and glutinous rice flour as the main raw materials, and adds pigments and other ingredients to make soft dough of various colors after anti-crack and anti-mildew treatment.
