Topic: How to Transform Your Thinking Through Non-Traditional Learning

1, What is non-traditional learning?

There is a big difference between traditional learning and non-traditional learning.

Traditional learning refers to the fixed education in school. Non-traditional learning means that we can choose our own interests and hobbies.

In this chapter, Zach is a ninth-grade student in public school. He dropped out of school because of a bad learning experience in school, and his teachers judged that he must have a bad life ahead of him.

But his parents supported his decision, and after breaking free from traditional education, Zach was guided by online self-study and mentors. Graduated with honors from New York University.

Non-traditional learning, so that he got rid of the trajectory of delinquent teenagers, towards a successful future! Realize the perfect reversal of life.

2, how to non-traditional learning through the shift in thinking, to achieve leapfrog growth?

01, embrace your true self and find your point of interest.

Albert Einstein famously said, "Interest is the best teacher."

Interest is a kind of intrinsic motivation, and it's easier to go all out when you're doing something you're really interested in. Even if you are willing to work harder and harder, even if the road ahead is difficult, we will "cut through the thorns and thorns", and find ways to solve the problem.

02, actively try, deliberately training.

Positive attempts can break through the original limitations, deliberate training. It can help us overcome the most difficult level of learning and consolidate our knowledge chain.

In this chapter: Zach dropped out of school, did not choose to give up on himself, did not live in the shadow of being roughly treated by school teachers and students.

He found a way of learning that suited him, and realized a mindset shift that led to leapfrog growth.

His life story is very inspiring! It's a constant reminder that the way we are taught in school is not everything, and that we can achieve rapid growth through self-learning, and accomplish a reversal of fortune in our lives.

Takeaways: This chapter reminded me of my own unpleasant learning experiences when I was in school. I was also suppressed by my school teacher just because I was at the bottom of the class. The teacher used to read my name, and the name of the first boy, in class, making me ashamed.

The teacher looked at me with a different eye and made me give up studying.

After going out into the world and experiencing a lot of things, I know that schooling cannot negate my entire life. I can find my own field of interest, continue to develop my own strengths, and realize personal growth by leaps and bounds.

Take action: immersion, reading, focusing, etc... is the most suitable learning path for me.

Tell yourself, "My learning goal is that I'm going to accomplish my on-draft goals quickly, not keep procrastinating and making excuses." If you don't take a step forward, you'll just go backwards or stay put.

This chapter's golden nuggets:

01 The best way to develop a resilient person is to be both tough and caring.

02, Being able to provide value to others while accepting help from them.

03 The person who can best help you acquire the quality of perseverance is you.
