The ancient tradition of chrysanthemum stone

Black chrysanthemum stone is mainly produced in Xuanen, Hubei Province, with white and pure color, gray-black or black matrix and brittle stone. The flower shapes of Hubei chrysanthemum stone are mostly iris, claw and cylinder. Cylindrical flower-like stamens are obvious, three-dimensionally rod-shaped, with a certain curvature, with a width of 0.2- 1.5cm and a length of 3- 13cm. Iris stamens are not obvious. Petals generally have 10-40 petals, mostly arc-shaped, with different sizes, branches, compound leaves and interspersed. Generally, petals are 1-30cm long and 0.2-3cm wide.

The flower shape is incomplete, the size and bending of petals (the same flower) vary greatly, the petals are sparse, and the flower shape changes are complex and diverse, especially the iris shape is common, the flowers are densely distributed, the small ones are exquisite and lovely, and the big ones are bold and unconstrained, which has high ornamental value.
