---Data layman who only speaks with data The sudden epidemic in early 2020 disrupted many original plans, including delayed delivery of foreign trade orders and even cancellation of orders. my country's manufacturing industry encountered a cold winter.
Although our country quickly successfully brought it under control, international trade is a product of globalization, and overseas industry and commerce are closely related to our country's exports.
From January to April, the epidemic in Europe and the United States was still spreading, so my country's exports were greatly affected.
As my country fully resumed work in April, developed countries such as Europe and the United States also gradually restarted their economies. The demand for exported anti-epidemic materials remains strong, and orders for various consumer goods have gradually resumed.
Foreign trade export capacity is gradually recovering. According to the data from the previous May, it is on the rebound.
However, the situation in each province is still different (see the table below). Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang, the traditional export provinces, have begun to pick up. In May, the export growth rate picked up significantly. Zhejiang corrected, and the export growth rate from January to May was higher than the national growth rate.
0.2 percent, good performance.
Shandong Province has also begun to accelerate. In May, export growth was as high as 6.1%. However, Fujian performed poorly in May, with a larger decline than from January to April. It seems that Fujian Province will be relatively difficult this year!
The growth rate in the central and western regions is astonishing. This is inseparable from the expansion of other foreign trade markets, the diversification of trade methods, and the growth of imports and exports from emerging markets.
In particular, Sichuan Province's export growth rate reached an astonishing 54.1% in May.
The most surprising thing is that the northwest region, which has a very low proportion of foreign trade, has experienced substantial negative growth.
Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, and Tibet all experienced negative growth of 40%+, and Xinjiang, which had the smallest decline, all experienced negative growth of 33.2%.
Zhejiang ranks first in trade surplus, mainly because its export growth rate is higher than that of Guangdong (Guangdong's trade surplus ranked first in the country in 2019). Who can win between Zhejiang and Guangdong depends on the performance in 2020, but Zhejiang is very promising, generally
The proportion of trade exports is very large, so the impact may be small.
