Three kinds of rap art circulating in Beijing

Poetry recitation, Buddhist chanting, China opera. In Beijing, there are still three kinds of rap art that existed in ancient times.

1. The first art form of rap is "poetry talk", which is an ancient art of rap. Its system is the use of verse and prose, and the verse is mostly a popular seven-character poem. Poems of Tang Sanzang published between Song and Yuan Dynasties is the earliest extant work.

2. The second is Chinese opera, which is a comprehensive stage art integrating poetry, performance, music, dance and art. This comprehensive form is not a patchwork, but an orderly organization.

3. The third kind is Buddhist chanting. According to the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture, Buddhist chanting is also an art form of singing and chanting.
