Zhang Shun Breaking Water Gate Tattoo Meaning
In 1757, "Water Margin" of the Japanese translation version of the "Popular Loyalty Water Margin" published in Japan, but the real first Japanese translation (of course, still retains a large number of Chinese characters), Kyoto, Yu Zhi Xuan, then Chang Xuan, Wen Hui Tang, Wenquantang **** with the publication of the "Popular Loyalty Water Margin" of the full publication actually took more than 30 years, until 1790 to complete! .
The publication of the book created a great wave in Japan, after which various reprint editions came into being. Among them was the 1825 rewritten version, "Tilting Water Margin," illustrated by Kogawa Kuniyasu and written by Quentin Makin, which featured all of the Water Margin heroes in female guise, and the book's popularity was further fueled by rave reviews of the water margin in Japan.
Then, in 1827, "Water Margin," illustrated by the artist Kokoyoshi Kagawa, was released amidst a wave of "universal water margins," and Kokoyoshi Kagawa became an instant hit with his bold brushstrokes and original compositions.
Kokofang's Zhang Shun is a man with hair and muscles that are gnarled and full of anger. The whole picture depicts the sadness of Zhang Shun when he is outnumbered.
The popularity of Water Margin at the time also accidentally led to the development of tattoo culture in Japan. At the time, only small-scale tattoos were popular in the Edo region, but right after the publication of Water Margin, the world revered large-scale tattoos.
