What is called fermentation bed pig raising?

Fermented bed pig rearing method is also known as ecological pig rearing method, natural pig rearing method, lazy pig rearing method, scientific pig rearing method and so on. Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, based on many years of practical experience, combined with modern microbial fermentation technology proposed an environmentally friendly, safe and effective ecological pig rearing method. With the increasing scale and intensification of pig raising, the realities of drug residues, energy shortage, feed shortage, frequent epidemics, environmental pollution, etc. have become bottleneck factors that seriously limit the development of China's pig raising industry. Fermented bed pig rearing is a set of ecological pig rearing system with benign cycle, which integrates pig rearing, nutrition, environmental hygiene, biology, soil fertilizer, and follows the principle of low cost, high output and no pollution. Fermented bed pig rearing is another highlight of factory pig rearing developed to a certain stage, and it is a new energy-saving and efficiency-enhancing pig rearing mode for the sustainable development of pig rearing industry. The model makes full use of the pig's biological habits and the law of environmental change, restores the natural attributes of pigs and reflects animal welfare. The feeding effect of the fermented bed pig rearing method can be briefly summarized as "three savings, two enhancements, one increase, and zero emissions" (Figure 16 and Figure 17).
