Which of the three major operators has a good network and a low tariff?

virtual operator has issued numbers one after another, and various tariff schemes have also been released. Virtual operator, which claims to have no set meal, no account and sharing, is it cheap? This paper sorts out the published tariffs in virtual operator and makes a series of comparisons with traditional operators for your reference. Due to various pricing methods, for the convenience of comparison, we divide virtual operator into two categories: those with packages and those with complete freedom of combination. If there are multiple packages to choose from, only one package is selected. For detailed tariffs, please refer to official website, virtual operator.

First, comparison of packages

Let's get to the point. First, let's look at the comparison of virtual operator's tariffs with packages. In order to facilitate the comparative view based on the tariff level, we put the package options with similar prices in one line, and we also use blanks to indicate the corresponding price range.

table 1: comparison of package tariffs among operators (note: 4G tariffs are selected by the three major operators)

due to space constraints, we have divided the whole table into three. Click here to view a complete table.

As can be seen from the table:

1. From the package threshold, the overall starting price of virtual operator is lower than that of traditional operators. However, judging from the contents of the package, voice and traffic are not too much, and some people need to buy their own caller ID in 5 yuan every month. For users with low demand, perhaps virtual operator is a cost-effective choice. However, at present, virtual operator still uses 3G networks, so this price is not much superior to the 3G tariffs of traditional operators.

2. In terms of high-end packages, the three major operators still have sufficient advantages, especially in terms of traffic. Compared with the most expensive packages of China Unicom and the Yangtze River era, the Yangtze River era is nearly as expensive as 3 yuan, but it has 6G less traffic than China Unicom.

3. There are three operators with special pricing methods, which are explained separately here.

first, Dixintong. For the five packages between 119 yuan and 579 yuan, Dixintong has no fixed content, but is priced according to voice .15 yuan/minute and traffic .2 yuan /MB, and users can freely combine them within the price range of monthly fee.

Second, Tianyin Communication's 17 Come Together Package. The main feature of this package is to enjoy it with people. For example, for the two-person package in 7 yuan, the average cost is 35 yuan per person per month, and each person gets 8 minutes of voice and 15M traffic (the caller ID for the secondary card needs to be purchased separately, 5 yuan/month). Of course, it can also be uneven and suitable for family use.

the third is the snail movement that does not appear in the table. Snail Mobile mainly introduced two kinds of cards, 399 free card ( yuan) and 999 free card (699 yuan). Both of them give away part of the traffic and voice by purchasing the number at one time, and then charge separately for the excess. The difference is that 399 free cards are given monthly, while 999 free cards are given for half a year at a time.

II. Comparison of free combination tariffs

Let's take a look at several virtual operator cities where unified billing is implemented:

Table 2: Comparison of free combination tariffs among operators

(marked in red as the lowest price for vertical comparison) [saved in photo album ]

The so-called free combination tariffs are simple pricing standards that charge as much as you use, and there is no package.

What needs to be explained is:

1. Although Suning and Tianyin don't need a service fee, they have to buy another monthly caller ID in 5 yuan, and several other companies have this service.

2. Suning and Ai Shide adopted a phased pricing method.

Suning's voice and SMS are charged in a "dynamic broken line" mode, and the voice has four gears: .15 yuan/minute within 1 minutes, .14 yuan/minute within 11-2 minutes, .13 yuan/minute within 21-3 minutes and .12 yuan/minute above 31 minutes. The same is true of text messages.

Ashdod U Friends has also adopted a segmented discount method: 2~7 yuan: 1% discount; 7~19 yuan: 15% off; Above 19 yuan: 2% discount.

As can be seen from the above tables, virtual operator may be a good choice if users do not have high demand for voice and traffic. However, for the vast majority of users, the minimum package is obviously not enough.

III. Comparison of the cost of a fixed usage quota

Next, we will take 1G traffic and 5 minutes of calls per month as the quota to see how much each family needs to buy roughly the same service.

Table 3: (about 1G+5 minutes) Monthly fees of operators (from low to high)

Generally speaking, traditional operators are still cheaper than virtual operator for roughly the same service. This is not surprising, because virtual operator is like a second-class wholesaler. They only "contract" a part of the communication network from the three basic operators of China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, and then sell it to consumers. The price is subject to the wholesale prices given by the three major operators.

Conclusion: virtual operator is not cheap

At present, the price war in virtual operator is very difficult to fight, and all families basically rely on special services to attract customers, such as snail mobile's traffic-free games, shopping in JD.COM, and so on. So, if you are not an iron fan of a virtual operator's main business, it seems that there is no need to bother to change your number.
