Is China people's faith a politically sensitive topic?
The Constitution of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that:
Article 36 People's Republic of China (PRC) citizens have freedom of religious belief.
No state organ, social organization or individual may compel citizens to believe in or not believe in religion, and may not discriminate against citizens who believe in or not believe in religion.
The state protects normal religious activities. No one may use religion to engage in activities that disrupt social order, harm citizens' health or interfere with the national education system.
Religious groups and religious affairs are not dominated by foreign forces.
However, citizens are not allowed to believe in and spread cults.
