The peasant woman should make porridge before the sun comes out and pull up a grain pile on the south wall, saying: Laba porridge should be made early, pull up a grain pile on the south wall, and the little wren won't push my grain. Eating Laba porridge According to documents, Linzhou began in the Song Dynasty. The original intention is that people use a year's harvest to sacrifice ancestors and gods to celebrate the harvest. Later, due to frequent disasters in Linzhou, it gradually evolved into eating Laba porridge. I wish Gu Liang a bumper harvest in the new year. Now there is a saying among the people that eating Laba porridge is conducive to harvesting fields in the coming year.
Twenty-three, send the old stove master to heaven. Anyone who does this should make a mark on the wall and report to heaven on the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month at the end of the year. After receiving the order from the Emperor of Heaven, Lu Yiwu will punish the Hui people with heavenly soldiers according to the marks on the wall. In order to eliminate hidden dangers, people immediately began to clean the house the day after they sent Kitchen God away, forming the custom of cleaning the house once every 24 hours.

26 pieces of meat. On that day, there were many meat shelves in the market, and the villagers slaughtered pigs and sheep in cauldrons. Those who cut meat and measure wealth are prepared by rich households until the fifteenth day of the first month; The poor are going to the fifth day of the first month.
Twenty-seven steamed to eat. It is something that both the poor and the rich have to do, and it is also one of the characteristics of Chinese New Year. According to the size of the population and the number of guests, each family should steam enough to eat until the fifteenth day of the first month, or at least eat the number of broken five.
Twenty-eight big stickers Before 1949, most people in the village asked people to write couplets, and some farmers used flowers at home to express their wishes. Besides, they have to stick to the door on Saturday. The door gods are mostly Qin Qiong, Jingde, Daguo Guan Gong, and Deng Ke, the fifth son. And most of them are stamped. Stick to pay attention to the poor sign (horizontal seam) rich right, that is, the lintel paper should be small and the paper should be fat. After 1980, double couplets were posted in the village, that is, in addition to one on the doorframe, another giant couplet was posted on the threshold wall. There is also a bucket of prescriptions written on diamond-shaped paper, with the word "Fu" written on it, and a line of words standing vertically below it, such as going out to see Fu, or welcoming Fu, or celebrating the Spring Festival, etc., and sticking it on the door or wall. Sprinkle wax and leave on the 29th. That night, dozens of people, led by neighboring villages, were carrying lanterns, beating drums, patting cymbals and holding incense sticks. They light candles and burn incense foils in temples in various villages in order to worship God, exorcise evil spirits and deliver the gospel. People in the village gathered in the holy land, waiting for the arrival of the evangelist team. One village delivers, one village receives, and the fields are brightly lit. After 1950, this custom disappeared and changed to 29 dozens of wine.
30 pinch the kernel out of the pot. Knead the kernels and flatten the vegetables, and stir-fry them when they are out of the pot. These two tasks are the most tense and arduous work on the thirtieth day of the twelfth lunar month. On that day, from the morning, all the women in the family began to work together, making stuffing and mixing noodles. After stuffing and kneading dough, they gathered around the kang and kneaded the dough. Mother-in-law and sister-in-law are very happy while pinching and teasing. Packed flat food should be enough for 30 nights and the first day of junior high school. I have been busy until about 5 pm. After the flat food is wrapped, you should first cook a pot and fish it into small plates, two for each plate. Housewives will burn incense and paper at home and pray to their ancestors: eat first if you have something to say, so as to protect the family and prosper. In addition, the men in the family used trays to carry them to the graves to worship their ancestors. A small plate was placed in front of each grave and a cannon was lit to kowtow. After these things are done, they start to fry. Everything that needs oiling should be fried. Crispy meat, meatballs, sliced meat (for ribs) and vegetables should be fried in the pot, but you should take some from the first pot and put it in the stove so that the kitchen god can come back to eat on the first day of May. Of course, if the twelfth lunar month is small, the activity of this day will be on the 29th.
Coins are flat. This is a popular folk custom in Linxian County. Among the 30 packs of flat food, a few coins are wrapped in flat food. Whoever eats flat food on the first day of breakfast will be blessed in this year, bringing great fun to the whole family, old and young. People are scrambling to get up early, especially children. They make an exception and eat more light food to make the whole family laugh.
Door bolt. On New Year's Eve, people are used to putting a peach stick on the threshold of the gate. If there is no peach, use other sticks to prevent wild ghosts from entering the house.
Endure it for a year. Also known as Shousui. According to folklore, thirty nights, as long as you have perseverance, you will wait until God's daughter opens a worse door to bless the world. If you go to bed early, you won't be happy. People have good wishes. Every year on the 30th night of the twelfth lunar month, the whole family chats endlessly, taking this opportunity to enjoy family happiness. Housewives should also set up incense tables to offer sacrifices, hold candles all night and burn incense five times. It is forbidden to talk loudly at night, so as not to disturb the gods; It is forbidden to open the cabinet to avoid absconding with the money; Don't look in the mirror and take a wooden comb to avoid ghosts; It is forbidden to see knives and scissors, so as not to break the house; It is forbidden to sweep the floor to avoid the outflow of gold and silver; It is forbidden to pour urinals, so as not to blaspheme. If you throw away the leftovers after 30 nights, it's called dinner next year. It is not only a good sign to throw away the leftovers early on the first day of the New Year. After 1980, new content was added to the Lunar New Year, and many families with conditions gathered around the TV to watch wonderful TV programs. In the early hours of the morning, young people from all walks of life held guns in their right hands, struck a light with their left hands, stepped out of the door with their right feet, stepped into the door with their left feet open, and stood in a posture of nodding and firing guns. As soon as the TV screen arrives, with the melodious bell, firecrackers of thousands of families are ringing, and various colored cannons such as firelight, fireworks and the second ring decorate the sky with colorful and dazzling colors.
Kowtow on the first day. After people stop eating flat food before dawn, the younger generation kowtows to the elders at home first, and then goes to other families (usually their own homes) to pay their respects to the New Year. Except for a venerable old man, everyone else in the family went to the neighbor's house, and even Sanli Wucun paid New Year greetings to relatives and new friends. If the younger generation is a child or a newly married daughter-in-law, the elders should give some lucky money.
Visit relatives. The order of visiting relatives is: nephew goes to grandma's house, daughter goes to her parents' house with her husband, and then goes to aunt, aunt and sister's house. Except for special circumstances, we should all go back to worship. There is a folk saying that the first day and the second day are beautiful, and the third day and the fourth day are good for worshipping festivals.
Untie five knots. The fifth day of the first lunar month is the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, which is a superstition. People think that the fifth, fourteenth and twenty-third days are unlucky days. The fifth day of the first month is the first unlucky day after the New Year, so it is very taboo to visit relatives and friends, and the backlog is all at home to improve their lives for the holidays. On that day in Yin Shi, the housewife took out a little ash from the stove and sent it to the intersection of the street, commonly known as sending poor ash.
During the period from the thirtieth day of the twelfth lunar month to the fifth day of the first lunar month, all children will not be beaten and scolded. They will eat well, dress beautifully and have fun. Even if they make mistakes, they will not be beaten and scolded. This is a rule handed down from the older generation. If you beat and scold children, you will be condemned by everyone. Therefore, what children are looking forward to most is the New Year. A year's plan starts with spring. People pin their hopes on the beautiful spring and hope that people will prosper and live a better life.
In ancient times, on the day of spring, the village had the custom of welcoming spring, whipping spring and biting spring, commonly known as playing spring. County Records of Reforestation: The day before beginning of spring, the county magistrate led a family, with prestige and drum music, ushered in the spring in the eastern suburbs, plowing the fields, whipping local cattle and eating spring cakes with five dishes. Present a portrait of a headstrong god and a native cow, and write "Welcome to Spring". Audiences far and near were blocked. Rites were abolished after the Republic of China. People eat pancakes and shredded radish, which is called biting spring. Spring cakes are baked with white flour. When eating, it should be wrapped with filamentous vegetables with cold salad as the main body (originally filamentous or processed into filamentous vegetables). When spring begins, put food like spring cakes and lettuce on a plate, which is called spring plate. Because of Sheng Xing's spring biting activity, it is an important festival activity in ancient spring, which is said to have existed before the Tang Dynasty. "Four-person Monthly Order" contains: beginning of spring eats lettuce, ... In order to welcome the New Year, the custom of eating spring cakes and radishes originated from five spicy dishes two thousand years ago. The so-called spiced plate is to put five kinds of spicy vegetables (onion, ginger, garlic, leek and radish) on the plate. Lantern Festival on the fifteenth day of the first month, also known as Shangyuan Festival and Lantern Festival. It was night, decorated with lanterns, and solve riddles on the lanterns, watching fireworks, eating Yuanxiao, enjoying the moon and writing poems, got used to each other. It has been very popular since the Sui, Tang and Song Dynasties. "Sui Shu Music Record" contains: Every January, countries come to Korea and stay at Jianguomen outside Duanmen for eight miles, which is listed as a theater. Ten thousand people often take part in singing and dancing, and they are dizzy to danger. Among the post-holiday festivals, the fifth day of the first month is a particularly lively festival. People's New Year's Eve is not over yet, and the Lantern Festival is ushered in. People regard the fifteenth day of the first month as a New Year holiday. One is to eat flat food, and the other is to light a lamp. After dinner that day, families began to light flowers. Dozens of pieces made of tissue paper with a diameter of two or three centimeters in advance are connected to a lamp, put in a bowl, poured with sesame oil and stirred, taken out with chopsticks and lit, and are everywhere on doors, stone strips, sheds, walls, waterways, kitchens, around door corners, in the middle and outside doors. Snuff is dancing on the ground, the moon is high in the sky and the stars are shining, which makes people feel like they are in a fairyland. After 1950, with the improvement of people's cultural level, people began to play with lanterns, including revolving lanterns, dragon lanterns, garland lanterns, horse racing lanterns, sand lanterns, harvest lanterns, etc., and developed into deified idol lanterns, full of originality and colorful. Especially in county towns and cultural centers, the lantern show is even more splendid, and the crowds watching the lanterns are packed.
The fireworks in the Tenth Five-Year Plan are also spectacular. Fireworks were organized by a big village led by various non-governmental areas, and some old poles were opened before the Tenth Five-Year Plan. Everything on the old telephone pole was displayed with fireworks. By then, people of all ages, men, women and children will be far away, and the audience will be like a collection. It takes more than two hours to finish this old pole. On the day of Shangyuan, various folk cultural activities staged a series of competitions, which were very lively. Linzhou has been dry for nine years, and water is as expensive as oil. It has always worshipped dragons in particular. Every village has built the Longwang Temple to pray for rain from Wang Long. There are many legends about dragons among the people: in the first year, the dragon stung the pool on the solstice in winter, and on February 2 of the following year, the dragon took off and began to make clouds and rain. Spring rain is as expensive as oil, and people expect dragons to give more races. Dragon worship has been circulating for a long time.
Early this morning, the first thing people do is to look up. Whether it is a collective mill or an individual mill, they all rush to the stone mill to burn paper and incense, and support the stone mill with a grinding plug to make the dragon look up, because there is a carved dragon between the two grinding eyes, and people regard the mill as a dragon. Then go to the pool, the well and the river and throw stones, and tell the Dragon King that today is February 2nd, and hurry up to heaven. In the evening, adults carry baskets full of plant ash, sprinkle a wisp on the wall first, and then sprinkle a big circle in an exclusive interview with the threshing floor, symbolizing good weather and abundant crops.
On February 2 nd, drink dragon tea, withdraw money and climb home. This is a common view.
On February 2nd, the dragon looked up and his daughter-in-law was worried. This is a word circulated by Linzhou people. Legend has it that a peasant woman gave birth to an only child named Yuan Lee. Due to the pressure of life, I often go out, leaving my mother and wife, Miss Wang, at home. Whenever Yuan Lee comes back from going out, her mother will cry to her son that her daughter-in-law has not enough to eat. On February 2nd, Yuan Lee asked his wife, Miss Wang, but Miss Wang insisted that her mother-in-law had lost her conscience and was lying. In order to gain her husband's trust, she fed the flat food to the dog as her mother's food. At noon, looking at the prepared flat food, Miss Wang personally delivered it. Yuan Lee asked his mother if she had had enough light food, but she said she didn't. Yuan Lee was very angry, but Miss Wang called her mother-in-law heartless and made Yuan Lee black and white. The Dragon King grabbed the cloud and saw it clearly. A loud thunder hacked the dog and Miss Wang to death, and the flat food overflowed from the dog's stomach. Until then, Yuan Lee suddenly realized. This story warns disobedient daughter-in-law to be filial to and disrespectful to the elderly, which is unforgivable. On this day, few people are angry with their mother-in-law. On the day of Tomb-Sweeping Day in March, ancestor worship was very popular among the villagers. It not only has the significance of remembering ancestors and encouraging future generations, but also can be used to plant a large number of trees. On this day, planting trees in front of the grave, so that the merits of ancestors can shelter future generations, also means cultivating people for a hundred years.
On this day, people will pick willow branches early in the morning and put them on all the doors. The children are still wearing hats made of willow branches. This custom evolved from the story of Jin Wengong Zhong Er's sacrifice to mesons. It was originally made the day before in Tomb-Sweeping Day, and was later incorporated into Tomb-Sweeping Day. In addition, every family will hold ancestor worship activities. In the north of the county seat, women at home will make some good soup, weigh it in front of the grave, pour it in front of the grave, and burn incense and paper. Women are forbidden to go to the grave in the south of the county (if a woman goes to the grave, she will be regarded as having no offspring), but first the white paper will be taken to the sixth place and cut into squares, saying that ghost clothes are not allowed to be cut at home (to show the difference between yin and yang), and then the parents will lead the young men to the grave. First, press a single piece of wood paper in front of the grave (single press is a single coat, double press is a cotton coat, and the white generation pressed in front of each grave is human), then burn incense and point paper money (wood engraving money), light firecrackers after worship, and re-protect the grave with new soil. After 1950, the school not only has the custom of going to the grave, but also organizes students to pay homage to the martyrs in graves and cemeteries to carry out revolutionary traditional education. Dragon Boat Festival, the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, is called May Day in Linzhou. The beginning of the end is synonymous with the beginning of the end, and so is the five noon. According to the order of earthly branches, May is the noon of June, so the fifth day is the Dragon Boat Festival. According to folklore, this festival is related to the commemoration of Qu Yuan, but it did not exist before Qu Yuan died on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month in 278 BC, but it did exist before that. Linzhou people have had the habit of taking a shower and taking wormwood on May 5 since ancient times, which is consistent with Dade's Da Dai Li in the Western Han Dynasty: on May 5, orchids were stored as showers, Qu Yuan's lyrics were vulgar, and orchids were fragrant. This shows that some activities of the Dragon Boat Festival have been carried out among the people long before Quyuan threw himself into the river. It was only in the Song Dynasty that the imperial court regarded Qu Yuan as a loyal and heroic hero and designated May 5th as the Dragon Boat Festival, making it clear that the whole country commemorated Qu Yuan.
People in Linzhou have the custom of picking moxa every festival. It is said that Ai before sunrise is cool and can exorcise evil spirits, while Ai after sunrise is hot and easy to attract ghosts. Therefore, it is necessary to go up the mountain to pick moxa when the sky is unknown, and even to pick moxa with a red belly. Put a bunch of collected moxa sticks in front of the gate to pray for eliminating disasters and evil spirits. The rest of the moxa sticks are twisted into braids and hung under the eaves to dry for future medicine. Can be used for relaxing muscles and bones in the shower, and can also be used for expelling wind. It is also a necessary item for mountain people to smoke cigarettes and kill mosquitoes. Eating sugar cakes and improving life is the daily custom of this day.
Dragon Boat Festival is in early summer, pests are flourishing, and the busy farming season is coming. The custom of Dragon Boat Festival is related to disease prevention, treatment, pest control and hygiene. Ai-picking activities include the nature of directly fighting disasters and diseases. This is the rich experience accumulated by the working people in long-term practice. Although some of these customs are used by religion to fool people, they should not be confused with the simple and beautiful wishes of working people. On the sixth day of the sixth lunar month, it was called Tianzhu Festival in ancient times. In June, the weather gets warmer and the food is easy to ferment. People began to make vinegar and sauce koji with barley. Women also pay special attention to rummaging through the closet to dry clothes to remove moisture. At the beginning of June, at the heading stage of millet, people are eager for rain and used to get together to watch the growth. There is a saying that on June 6, they can't watch the valley show and the drought.
June is a hot summer day, and many customs are related to summer, heatstroke prevention and health care. People in Linzhou believe that the night of July 7th is the time for the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl to meet. Cowherd "Hegu II", commonly known as Cowherd Star, Weaver Girl is Tiansun. Legend has it that Erxing was jealous of human life, violated heaven, secretly descended to earth to get married, and gave birth to two children. Heaven knows that the Weaver Girl has been taken back, and the Cowherd is chasing the Weaver Girl with two children. Just as she was about to catch up, the Queen Mother tore off the golden hairpin on her head and drew a river to separate them. Since then, the husband and wife have separated, facing each other across the river, and there is no reason why they can't. Magpie sympathized with them and agreed to fly to the Milky Way on July 7 every year to bridge the gap so that the loving couple could meet. It's easy to rain in Mao Mao on July 7th every year. People say it's the tears when the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl meet.
That night, the girls were willing to ask the Weaver Girl for advice and invited her to come to the earth to teach them how to do their work. Most of the seven girls got together, prepared seven kinds of gifts and cooked seven big flat meals, including seven tools such as needles, scissors, flower hammers and weaving shuttles cut from oleander leaves. They sang: On July 7th every year, Sister Weaver will give you food. Teach me to be smart and make matching shoes for your old age. Teach me to be stupid and stick a red needle in your foot. Seven needles, seven threads, seven girls all taught. Hit the east wall and look at the west sea. Sister Weaver sent Joe. After singing, close your eyes and turn your back to touch a large flat piece of food in the basket. Whoever eats it with that sewing tool will be an expert in this field in the future. In the competition, they were very happy and strengthened their confidence. Combined with the custom of begging for cleverness, it shows the optimistic spirit of Linzhou women who are diligent and eager to learn, love labor and yearn for a better life. After 1950, this custom died out, turning into a woman holding a child and sitting around the yard watching the Milky Way and talking about secrets. There are female intellectuals chanting the words of a small tour: thin clouds are smart, flying stars spread grievances, the milky way is far away, and the golden wind and jade dew meet, winning countless people. Tender as water, like a dream, you'd better go home from the magpie bridge! If the relationship between two people is long-lasting, it is still a matter of time! Entrust feelings
The custom of women's begging for cleverness, which evolved from the myth of cow girl, expressed their sympathy for the unfortunate experience of Weaver Girl, and reflected the women's resistance to feudal ethics in the old society in a tortuous way, which has been passed down to this day. On the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month, Linzhou people call it Animal Festival. On that day, people with animals will make mutton buns as offerings. This steamed bread is made of white flour and steamed into the shape of mutton. Serve at noon and then eat, set off firecrackers to celebrate the prosperity of six animals. Stop using animals on this day and make a pot of fried rice soup for animals to drink at night. The so-called beating one thousand and scolding ten thousand, and eating fried rice on July fifteenth refers to this.
Legend has it that Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, herded cattle in the rich man's house when he was a child, and he didn't have enough to eat every day. On the night of July 14 one year, he and his partner killed 1 a cow on the mountain to eat. In order to cope with the rich man, he put the cow's tail into the crack in the mountain and lied that the cow had drilled the crack in the mountain. The next day, the rich man came to the mountain and gave a cow's tail. He really barked several times in Cleisthenes. Since then, July 15 has become the birthday of animals. On this day, Dongyao, Rencun and other towns and villages also started some activities of flower mountain and flogging.
At the beginning of July every year, cowboys will build a stone kiln with litter on the hillside, which will be filled with straw and grass in rows. Women will make jujube cakes with white flour at home and serve them on July 15th. The boys rubbed hemp, mulberry bark and rags into whips, ready to smoke with Yangcun.
After dinner on July 15, as soon as the bright moon rose, cowboys climbed the hill and lit the packed straw, which lasted longer than the neighboring village of Ba. At this time, dozens of miles of sparks in Fiona Fang set each other off, forming Huashan Mountain.
On the threshing floor at the foot of the mountain, a huge flogging team (each with a prepared whip) shouted: one, two, xx home (village), flogging! Boom! Boom! The whip sounded. When the other village hears its own village, it will call back the whip, and so on.
On the night of July 15, the moon was in the sky, the flowers and mountains were shining, the whip was ringing, and there was a sea of people.
July is the beginning of autumn festival, and autumn harvest is in sight. The above customs reflect this feature. Autumn ploughing is the most tiring period for animals. In fact, people feed animals in advance to prepare for autumn ploughing. Huashan wishes a bumper harvest in autumn; To whip is to practice whipping skills and prepare to whip cattle in autumn. August 15th of the lunar calendar is the Mid-Autumn Festival, which started in the Han Dynasty and started in autumn. By the Tang Dynasty, there had been activities such as going to the stage to enjoy the moon, boating and drinking on the moon. "The Legacy of Kaiyuan" contains: On the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, I went to the moon with the imperial concubine. During the reign of Emperor Taizong of the Northern Song Dynasty, August 15 was designated as the Mid-Autumn Festival. In the Ming Dynasty, Dong Liu and others wrote "A Brief Introduction to the Scenery of Jingshi", it was recorded that the moon was sacrificed on August 15th, and its fruit cake was round ... When the moon left, it would be sacrificed ... When a woman returned to Ning, she would return to her husband's family, saying: Reunion Festival.
It's night, and the bright moon is hanging in the sky, which is the brightest night in a year. On the ancient folk night in Linzhou, every household held Yue Bai and moon viewing activities. In Yue Bai, four big apples and round moon cakes prepared in advance are placed on the altar in the yard to worship the bright moon. The family sat around the yard and looked at the horn-like moon. Adults felt a sense of stability, harmony, perfection and reunion from the full moon. While eating moon cakes, the children hummed a ditty: Grandma Ming, go to the pot and invite the young lady to have tea ... The old people told their children and grandchildren fairy stories about the Goddess Chang'e flying to the moon, Wugang Qiguiyu and so on.
Mid-Autumn Festival is an important traditional folk festival in Linzhou, which has been flourishing. This festival is based on people's aesthetic psychology of the natural beauty-the moon, which transcends the times and regions and increases endless vitality. As early as 2700 years ago in the Spring and Autumn Period, China people had already measured the winter solstice. The ancients explained the winter solstice as follows: when the cathode arrived, the yang began to grow, and the day was short and the shadow was long, so it was called the winter solstice.
In ancient China, the winter solstice was very important. Hanshu records that the winter solstice is sunny and the monarch is congratulated. People think that after the winter solstice, the days become longer and the yang rises, which is a good day, so it is worth celebrating. Around the Winter Solstice, a gentleman's life is bleak, a hundred officials do nothing, do not listen to political affairs, and choose a lucky day to save trouble. People in Linzhou eat flat food every day. It is said that eating flat food can prevent frozen ears.
After the winter solstice, the severe winter came, and the poor working people in the old society had a worse life. Generally speaking, wealthy families also attach great importance to this festival. On the solstice after winter, farmers attach great importance to enjoying snow. It snows in September and September. In farming, wintering crops need winter snow to keep the ground temperature and moisture. At this time, the ground can be frozen, and two pieces of wheat will be consolidated. If there is a lack of snow, there will be many pests next year. It's too hot. If the fruit trees bloom, it is difficult to expect a bumper harvest. Heavy snow can freeze pests to death, and it is expected that there will be a bumper harvest in agriculture next year. This is the experience of working people in Linzhou for thousands of years.
