Can Jiangxi people speak Cantonese?
At present, Chinese can be divided into seven dialects, namely Northern Dialect, Wu Dialect, Hunan Dialect, Jiangxi Dialect, Fujian Dialect, Guangdong Dialect and Hakka Dialect. Gan dialect is widely used in most areas of Jiangxi, among which Nanchang dialect and Fuzhou dialect are the most representative. The phonetic feature of Gan dialect is that there is generally no voiced sound, so the pronunciation of many words in Gan dialect is very different from that of Mandarin, even ambiguous. Gan dialect vocabulary is characterized by retaining many archaic words, which are called "living fossils" of ancient Chinese words by experts in Chinese history. For example, Nanchang dialect and Fuzhou dialect are called sunrise during the day, conversation is called conversation, and how much is called, and dirty is called pickling.
