In China, most testing institutions use reflected wave method (transient time domain analysis method) to test the integrity of piles, mainly because of its light instrument and fast on-site detection speed, and at the same time, it integrates excitation method and frequency domain analysis method as testing and auxiliary analysis means. Of course, in the low-strain integrity inspection, regardless of the type of defect, its comprehensive performance is that the impedance of the pile becomes smaller and it is difficult to distinguish the nature of the defect, which is its biggest limitation.
