Is there really qigong in China?

The history of qigong can be traced back more than five thousand years or more, and it originated in human productive labor. Ancient people did not call this method of exercise qigong, but called it guiding, stilt press, vomiting, etc. As the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine states, "In the past, the ancients lived in a house of animals. For example, the Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine (Su Wen) recorded: "In the past, the ancients lived among animals and birds, moving to avoid the cold and living in the shade to avoid the heat." The two ways of movement and static are to ward off cold and heat and to maintain health and cure diseases. Lu's Spring and Autumn Annals of Ancient Music recorded: "The beginning of the former Yin Kang's, Yin more stagnant and Cham Jie, waterway congestion, not its original, the people's gas is depressed in the stagnant, bone shrinkage and not reach, made dance to promote the." This means that the ancient qigong, guiding, dancing and sports were not divided into sections. Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine" recorded: "the central, the ground is flat to wet, the ground all living things are also many, the people of omnivorous and not labor, the disease is more atrophy cold and heat, the treatment should be guided on stilts. Therefore, the introduction of stilts, from the center out also." This indicates that qigong originated in the Yellow River Valley in the Central Plains. Due to the development of archaeology, many qigong cultural relics have been discovered one after another, such as the dancing colored pottery pots unearthed in Datong County of Qinghai Province during the Yangshao period, the guiding diagrams of the Han Dynasty unearthed in Mawangdui, and the jade pendant inscriptions of the Warring States period, all of which are precious qigong cultural relics. The earliest reference to the term qigong seen in literature is in the Jin Dynasty Taoist priest Xu Xun's "Record of the Religion of Pure Brightness," which includes the term qigong elucidation, and the term qigong is mentioned in the "Shaolin Secrets," published by the Zhonghua Bookstore in 1915, and in the "Wushu Huizong," published by the Commercial Press in 1929, but they both refer to methods of martial arts exercise. In 1929, General Zhang Xueliang wrote a preface for Zhang Qinglin's "Secret of Practicing Qigong", which also mentions: "Qigong is a great way to protect the enemy and build up the country, and a small way to strengthen the body and health, and to nourish and heal the sick. ...... In 1934, Dong Hao's book "Special Treatment for Consumption", published by Hangzhou Xianglin Hospital, and "Qigong Therapy", published by the Commercial Press, both mentioned the term qigong, but they all refer to martial arts exercise methods. The term qigong began to be associated with health care in two books, "Qigong Therapy for Consumptive Diseases" by Dong Hao, published by Xianglin Hospital in Hangzhou in 1934, and "Qigong Therapy for Consumptive Diseases," published by Gong Pu Qigong Therapy Institute in Shanghai in 1938, with very little impact due to the fact that they were printed in-house. At this time, qigong was mainly characterized by regulating breathing, regulating the mind and standing on piles. Qigong is a fitness art unique to China. It is basically divided into two main categories, one of which is mainly static, standing still, sitting still or lying still, so as to concentrate the mind and to breathe in a special way to promote the functions of the circulatory, digestive and other systems. The other category is movement-based, generally using gentle exercise drills, massage and other methods, and adhere to regular exercise to enhance physical fitness. In ancient times, according to different gong methods, they were called Tuna, Guiding, Walking Qi, Serving Qi, Eating Qi, Practicing Qi, Sitting in Silence, Sitting in Zen, or Neigong, and so on. It is characterized by the practitioner's subjective efforts to exercise his mind and body with the combination of intention, qi and body in order to achieve the purpose of fitness and disease prevention. Dandao and QigongMany people know Dandao from Qigong, but there is a big difference between Dandao and Qigong. It should be said that qigong is not a good name, it is too broad and can be stuffed with anything. And most qigong nowadays is at too low a level and uses too much intention, so it is easy to go off course or have other problems. Qigong, so to speak, is the foundation stage of Dandao. This is because the foundation of dan dao is a healthy body with abundant essence. Qigong, on the other hand, is usually practiced by sick people or people who are not in good health, with the purpose of pursuing health. The Xiaozhoutian Gong and the method of running real qi that are widely circulated on the Internet are the deformed versions of the foundation-building method of Dantao, which are at best only qi passes through the circumference of the sky, or even a lower level of intention passes through the circumference of the sky, and cannot be considered as the real Xiaozhoutian. Qigong is a term coined by Liu Guizhen in the 1950s, who wrote in <Practice of Qigong Therapy>, "The word 'qigong' summarizes the practice methods of meditation, tu na, guiding, and neigong." "The guiding method, internal nourishment, spitting na method, nei gong, deep breathing, and meditation and breathing regimen handed down from ancient times all belonged to qigong before the body, although they were known by different names." That is to say that qigong has a history of only a few decades, and it was created by modern people based on ancient Chinese traditional health-improving gong and dan dao. Often a sick person practiced one kind of gong in the east and another in the west to build up his body, and he created a gong method to do so. As the saying goes: internal refining a mouthful of "gas", external refining sinews and skin. Is refining gas in the human body, strengthen the human blood circulation and vibration of the body's qi to strengthen the muscles and bones of the dynamic static training and rigid and flexible training. Must follow the objective laws of nature, and the human body's compliance with the natural laws of qi opening and closing for a series of guiding activities. Where such health activities, with various types of equipment for data tracking, analysis of indicators. Its function and purpose is: to revitalize the qi, blood, and enhance physical fitness. To enhance the body's immune system and resistance, can also be said that the ability to prevent external security. And so on, and finally achieve the benefit of prolonging life. In terms of qigong. Anyone familiar with the understanding of the human body meridians, internal organs and qi circulation rules, in other words, familiar with the theoretical basis of Chinese medicine people can enter the guidance and choreography of qigong cultivation methods. Metaphorically speaking: refining standing stumps, refining guiding. Refining Taiji, practicing hard work, and so on. These are a series of exercises that promote physical health. But there are qigong exercises that must be personally guided by the teacher. In order to prevent deviation of the qi line
