What is the specific gravity of FRP ventilation pipes?

The specific gravity of FRP pipe materials is usually 1.6- 1.9g/cm3, which is about steel 1/4- 1/5, higher than steel, cast iron and plastic (see Table 2 for details).

Generally speaking, the weight of FRP is not greater than 1/3 of the weight of steel pipes of the same specification, and its physical and mechanical properties are excellent (see Tables 3 and 4 for details). In addition, some physical properties of FRP pipes are also quite superior, the expansion coefficient is roughly equivalent to that of steel pipes, and the thermal conductivity is only 0.5% of that of steel pipes, so it is a good thermal insulation and electrical insulation material (see Table 5 for details).
