Gao'an Introduction General

Gao'an City is located in the central northwest of Jiangxi Province, 55 kilometers east from the provincial capital of Nanchang, 87 kilometers from Nanchang Xiangtang Airport, 55 kilometers from the Changbei Airport, north of Changjiu Expressway to the Jiujiang International Port 200 kilometers, the shape of the political district as a butterfly. The total population of the city is 782,000; the total area is 2439 square kilometers. The city has 20 townships, 2 streets and 1 reclamation farm. ●Land resources Gao'an city has a total land area of 2439.33 square kilometers. Among them: 70,168.8 hectares of arable land, accounting for 28.8%; 92,691.5 hectares of mountainous land, accounting for 38%; 25,434.3 hectares of water, accounting for 10.4%; towns, villages, roads and other land use 55,638.1 hectares, accounting for 22.8%. The soil texture is fertile, mainly dominated by red loam and rice soil. Among them: red loam soil accounts for 50.3% of the soil area, and rice soil accounts for 43.1% of the soil area. The land structure of the city area is a more complete ecological system. ●Water Resources The city of Gao'an has a well-developed water system and is rich in both surface water and groundwater resources. Surface runoff is attributed to the Jin River, Xiaojiang River, Scribble River, Yuan River four watersheds, of which the Jin River is the largest river, with a flow of nearly 70 kilometers within the territory, flowing through 12 townships (jieban).
