At the scene of Chengdu Auto Show, we interviewed Qiao Xinyu, product director of Macchiato, and Xie Jingying, marketing director of Macchiato. The following is an interview record:

Question: I just saw that the pre-sale price of our macchiato is 146800 yuan-163800 yuan. In independent brands, such as Chang 'an and BYD, there are similar SUV models. Please tell me more about them. What is the biggest advantage of Macchiato compared with other brands on the market?

Xie Jingying, Marketing Director of Wei brand Macchiato: From our category, Macchiato is the first new generation intelligent hybrid SUV in the entire automobile market. For traditional fuel vehicles, Macchiato's driving experience in normal 80% life scenes such as traffic jams is far superior to traditional fuel vehicles.

Judging from our just-concluded 1 100 km public survey, Macchiato ran out of the cruising range of11km and 4.5L/65438 through various road conditions such as five cities, urban roads, middle and high-speed urban loops/elevated sections and expressways.

Therefore, for the traditional automobile market, Macchiato can be said to have the advantage of category differentiation. We are more of a competition for mixed products on the same day. The real DHT technology will bring users a subversive driving experience and energy-saving subversion, and bring users a different new car experience.

Question: I want to ask Mr. Qiao Xinyu two questions. The first one is that we saw many cars on the booth of Chengdu Auto Show. Can you tell us something about the highlights of these cars? The second is that Wei brand has been focusing on the "coffee smart" platform and intelligent hybrid DHT technology for years, and then recently we also launched retro-style models, so there are still many highlights. What will Wei brand do in marketing next, and what kind of important products will it have?

Wei brand CMO Qiao Xinyu Qiao Xinyu: This time, the "three cups of coffee" of Wei brand gathered at Chengdu Auto Show, which is also the first collective appearance of Wei brand in Chengdu market and southwest market after the transformation. This "three cups of coffee" is the protagonist of Chengdu Auto Show. The first model is Macchiato, the first model equipped with smart hybrid DHT. Its biggest feature is "fast, smooth, quiet and economical", and it is also the overall technical core of product development. For Macchiato, acceleration and long battery life are its biggest advantages.

The second model is Mocha, which has received great attention since its listing on May 2 1, and the performance of order volume is also very good. At the same time, Mocha will carry out the first OTA upgrade in September. NOH high-speed intelligent pilot's assisted driving function will also be released in the near future.

The third paragraph is latte. The biggest characteristics of latte are mainly reflected in two fields: hybrid power and intelligence. In hybrid technology, it is equipped with intelligent hybrid DHT technology. In terms of intelligence, Latte inherits intelligent functions such as advanced intelligent driving assistance.

As for the new generation of intelligent retro tide driving first disclosed on the 27th, this car is also a brand-new attempt in category innovation. Wei brand has two core technologies, the first is the coffee intelligent system, and the second is the intelligent hybrid DHT. This car will bring users a brand-new product experience and lead the new trend with high-level intelligence and intelligent hybrid DHT technology.

A new generation of intelligent retro tide driving is a special model of our future category. By 2023, there will be 15 models, which basically cover all categories of the current automobile industry.

Micro-faction will develop along the road of category expansion and category innovation. Category expansion is to try to innovate with other categories besides SUV, just like the retro tide driving seen today. We will have similar category innovations in the future.

Question: Following Mr. Qiao Xinyu's answer just now, you mentioned innovation. We feel that Weipai has made some efforts in innovation in recent years, both in product technology and user operation, so we also want to know, in your opinion, what kind of brand label do you want to build for Weipai and what kind of brand do you want to build? The second question, just now we also mentioned that Macchiato is the first product of Wei brand equipped with intelligent hybrid DHT technology. We want to know what its positioning is.

Qiao Xinyu: I think any brand really needs a label, but I think the future of Wei brand should depend on the experience and perception it brings to users.

Weipai has achieved an advanced upgrade from 20 19 "China luxury SUV leader" to "new generation smart car". What kind of experience does the so-called "new generation smart car" want to bring to users? In my opinion, it caters to the characteristics and needs of young people who pursue individuality and attention, and hopes to create such a product experience. So this is our track on the intelligent road. In terms of category differentiation and category expansion, try to meet the needs of more users. In the product experience, especially in the three core technologies of intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit and intelligent service, I hope to bring surprises to users.

Macchiato is a very important model under the brand strategy, and we call it a new generation of intelligent hybrid SUV. At present, hybrid technology has been monopolized by joint venture brands for a long time, and each hybrid technology has its own bug. But now we have to completely break the bug, so we have built an intelligent hybrid DHT technology based on two-speed series-parallel dual motors to cooperate with our coffee intelligent platform. I believe this car will bring users a brand-new product experience.

Problem: At present, the shortage of such chips may have a great impact on some brands. How is Weipai affected by the shortage of chips? I have one more question. Now hybrid technology is basically monopolized by joint venture brands. I would like to ask, what expectations or goals do we have for Macchiato's market performance?

Qiao Xinyu: The problem of "lack of chips" is a global problem, and it is also a problem faced by the entire automobile industry. In view of the tight supply of chips in the market, Great Wall Motor Group is actively taking various measures to deal with it, including actively purchasing chips around the world, accelerating the layout of chip industry, strengthening the system construction in the chip field, and alleviating the impact of the tight supply of chips.

Since it is said today that the technical barriers of joint venture brands should be broken, the share of Shuangtian HEV models in the whole China market is 99.8%. But we believe that our product and technology reserves have been completed now. We often say that when the technology is completed, when all the product sequences are completed, that is when we start to exert our strength. Therefore, we believe that in the whole mixed market, today's pre-sold Macchiato and the future latte will have very strong competitiveness, and we are confident to compete head-on with them in this field and grab a considerable part of the market share.

Q: I have a question for Mr Qiao Xinyu. Weipai completed the brand rejuvenation this year, including the new positioning of "a new generation of smart cars". What kind of core competitiveness does this positioning imply?

Qiao Xinyu: I will answer this question in three points. The first point is that Wei brand has a strong advantage. It relies on the strong R&D capability of Great Wall Motor, so compared with some friends in some industries, I think our system competitiveness is very strong. Both the iteration speed and the new car speed are actually excellent in the industry, and our vertical integration ability is very strong. At present, our entire technology research and development has basically completed a large number of reserves. At the Science and Technology Festival in July, we also saw some amazing patented technologies, and we will meet you gradually in the future, so our system ability is our strongest competitiveness.

The second point is that we have an idea about technology. Why are many domestic car companies increasingly competitive? On the one hand, young people are more inclined to own brands in the process of buying cars, and everyone has feelings of home and country.

Third, from the perspective of its own product strength and technology, independent brands have indeed done very well in many places, including us and other independent friends. Everyone has a particularly strong concept in the process of building a car, not taking the car as the center, but taking the user as the center.

To sum up, systematic competitiveness and user-centered technology research and development and experience will be a core channel for the future development of Weipai brand.

Q: I have a question for Mr Wang Bo. In terms of actual driving, what brand-new experiences can Macchiato bring us with intelligent hybrid DHT technology?

Wang Bo: As the first product of VIV brand equipped with intelligent hybrid DHT technology, Macchiato can directly give users a very obvious driving experience summed up in four words: "fast, flat, quiet and economical" through our world-leading intelligent hybrid two-speed dual-motor architecture.

"Fast" means that the power of the whole power system is 140KW and the torque is 370N? M, which is equivalent to 2.0T conventional power, brings a driving experience with an acceleration time of only 8.5 seconds.

"Shun" is the driving experience of electric vehicles, so the research and development simulates more than a dozen daily working conditions of users, such as vehicle starting, city cruising and high-speed cruising. Through working condition identification, we adjust the double motors during driving to ensure the engine to intervene faster, so the overall driving experience is very smooth.

"Static" means that the overall level is equivalent to that of electric vehicles, which is mainly divided into two aspects. On the one hand, we recycle as much energy as possible by adding intelligent energy recovery system, including single pedal mode. No matter slowing down or braking, there will be more energy loss. We can recycle this energy, convert it into electric energy and store it, which is convenient for the next electric energy output. Through the output of electric energy, we use pure electric drive in more driving scenarios, including some communities and garages, which are basically battery-driven when starting normally.

The second aspect is that our vehicle has more than a dozen NVH optimizations, including the engine, the muffler structure of intake and exhaust, and the backlash of the motor, which are strictly controlled. As for the whole vehicle, we have sound insulation glass in the front row, including the large-scale application of some sound insulation materials and active noise reduction technology, to ensure the quietness of our overall operation under various working conditions.

"Province" is what we just said. Through our world-leading two-speed hybrid technology architecture, it directly brings users a more intuitive fuel consumption of 4.7 liters per 100 kilometers.
