How many performances are there in Beijing Opera Yang Jiajiang?
Yang Jiajiang has seven performances.
They are: Golden Beach, Goro Becoming a Monk, Huyan Zan Showing Merit, Li Lingbei, Yanmenguan Printing, Official Records and Black Pine Forest.
Yang Jiajiang is a series of heroic legends, which are widely circulated among the people in China in the form of Romance of Yangjiafu, which was reviewed by Ji Zhenlun (a poet in Qinhuai), and Biography of Yang Jiajiang (also known as Biography of Northern Song Dynasty and Romance of Yang Jiajiang) by Xiong Damu. It romanticizes the deeds of Yang Ye, Yang Yanzhao, Yang Wenguang and others in the early Northern Song Dynasty, and tells the touching stories of the four generations of Yang family who defended northern Xinjiang and faithfully served the country.
