Why there are crucian carp in the grass cave: Water plants provide a good foraging place for crucian carp. Young crucian carp usually swim in groups for food. They like to eat small insects in plankton and aquatic plants. Grass hole is convenient for crucian carp to lay eggs. Many fish like to lay eggs in aquatic plants, and crucian carp is no exception. How to choose the location of grass hole: The number of crucian carp in grass hole has a great relationship with the location of grass hole. It is best to choose the grass hole in the still water (stagnant water) area, not in the running water (flowing water) area. The water body in the still water area is relatively stable, and the nest material stays for a long time, so fishermen can fish here for a long time; However, the water in the running water area is flowing, and the fragrance of nest materials will flow to other places with the water flow, resulting in short time and poor fish attraction effect. Therefore, it is best for anglers to choose grass fishing holes in still water areas. Suitable places for digging grass holes mainly include: aquatic plants on the shore, aquatic plants in the middle of the river, aquatic plants beside the river bend, aquatic plants in the shade, aquatic plants beside the river entrance, etc. These places are places where crucian carp often appear. There are also some rivers where aquatic plants are not suitable for digging grass holes. For example, in waters where aquatic plants are too scarce, too shallow or too deep, there are few traces of crucian carp (too shallow means that the depth of the riverbed is visible to the naked eye, and the water depth is generally less than 20 cm; Too deep refers to the deep water above 5 meters). In addition, there are often no crucian carp in polluted water.

Matters needing attention in grass fishing hole:

1. Grass hole size. I think the diameter of the grass hole is between 5 cm and 5 cm. Neither too small nor too big. If the grass hole is too small, once larger fish such as carp and grass carp bite the hook, it will be extremely inconvenient for fishermen to lift the hook; Too big grass hole is not conducive to crucian carp hiding. Fishing friends who often catch grass holes know that grass holes will get bigger and bigger. After fishing for a period of time, a grass hole will naturally become a big grass hole, so when you first start making a grass hole, fishermen can dig it smaller.

2. Grass fishing hole line group. Grass fishing hole is different from ordinary surface fishing, so it is suggested to use long pole and short line and single hook and small target. Some grass holes with better positions may be located in the middle of the river, so it is very necessary to prepare long poles. Fishing friends can choose a fishing rod of 5.4 meters or longer. If it is a grass hole on the shore, the fisherman can choose a fishing rod of 3.6 meters or 2.7 meters. Because there are many crucian carp in the grass hole, the fishing line should be thinner. It is suggested to use a 0.6 fishing line or a thinner fishing line. The hook should be small, and the double hook is easy to catch grass. Carassius auratus has a small mouth and eats by smoking, but the hook is too big for Carassius auratus to eat. Novice grass fishing holes should be marked with seven stars, which is beneficial to cope with different underwater environments and is more convenient to adjust.

3. bait for fishing grass holes. I like to use red earthworm as bait. Earthworms are called universal bait. Catching crucian carp in grass holes is very effective, especially in the morning when crucian carp prefer to eat earthworms? Bait. When fishing grass holes, rice wine and vegetable oil cakes can be used as nest materials, which has obvious effect of attracting fish.

4. Lift the pole lightly. Some fishermen move too fast when lifting poles, which will scare the timid and vigilant crucian carp. Therefore, when fishing grass holes, it is forbidden to lift the pole too fast and too hard to prevent the fish from running out of the nest.

This fishing method is often used to float beans, but it should be small, and 3-5 grains is enough. Vertical drift can also be used. I used a vertical float, a very small one, 10 cm long, with only three meshes. It won't take me long. First, it is not easy to put it in the grass hole, and second, it is easy to hang grass without standing.

When adjusting the drift, the seven-star drift interval is 1-2 cm, the empty hook is half-filled to the top level, and the vertical drift is also flat. When fishing, 1-2 grains or 1-2 meshes are exposed and floated as required. There is no question of finding the bottom, as long as it surfaces, it must be the end. The more the grid is exposed, the more the sub-line bends, and even the lead falls to the end. When hanging bait, 1 mesh hook bait touches the bottom, and the sub-line is vertical or slightly curved. Seven-star drift is easy to put in the grass hole, stand and observe, and use drift according to your own preferences and habits.

When you make a hole, you must use a puncher, not throw it by hand. First, look for natural grass holes, grass crevices, stumps or gaps by the grass with suitable water depth, and make nests with rice, usually more than three. Be sure to remember the specific location of each nest, as long as the grass hole is 20 cm. Generally, it is enough to make a hole and a half, and add more sugar when cooking wine and rice. Appropriate amount of fish feed or chicken feed can be added to rice wine. Continuous fishing in the nest is better. If it is convenient, even if you don't fish, you should raise your nest with some wine and rice.

When fishing, you should tease fishing every 2 minutes, and the action should be light and slow. Lift about 20 cm, put it down gently, or drag it gently. Don't catch the old man's fish, just put it in the nest. When crucian carp eat a hook, the drift phase is mostly to send or go, but it is very stable and there is little black drift. Most of the floating phases of small miscellaneous fish fluctuate greatly or drag black directly. Lift the pole fast, short and hard, and don't lift the pole greatly, so as to avoid the winding of the wire group on the pole tip, which is very troublesome. It is best not to drop lead. When there is no fish, put it down gently. When you feel a fish on the hook, don't hesitate to lift it out of the water, no matter how small it is, so use a hard pole and don't walk the fish. When the fishing position is spacious, put the rod horizontally on the shore directly before taking the fish, so it is not necessary to contract the rod section directly to change the bait. When the fishing position is blocked from left to right, retract the fishing rod at a steady speed and then put it on the ground. Pay special attention to the first two sections of the fishing rod when there are fish, and the hook tip is easy to break. Make sure it's a small fish float, and you can let it go. If the small fish hooks the aquatic plants and pulls them out, the action is too big, so it is necessary to temporarily give up fishing for the next nest.
