E480 How to Set up Traditional Boot

E480 computer can set the traditional startup by the following steps:

Step 1: Press F 1 to enter the BIOS setup when booting.

Step 2: Select the "Security" tab in the BIOS settings.

Step 3: Select Safe Boot in the Security tab and set it as disabled.

Step 4: Save the settings and exit the BIOS.

Through the above steps, E480 computer can switch from UEFI startup mode to traditional startup mode.

Traditional boot mode is different from UEFI boot mode. Traditional boot is based on BIOS, and UEFI boot is based on UEFI firmware. Traditional startup mode does not need GPT partition, while UEFI startup must have GPT partition. The hard disk format of traditional startup mode is MBR, and the hard disk format of UEFI startup mode is GPT. The traditional boot mode is installed by CD or USB flash drive, while the UEFI boot mode needs to be installed by UEFI boot device.

It should be noted that if you set the traditional startup mode on the E480 computer, you may not be able to use some new functions, such as the Windows Hello function of Windows 10. Therefore, before setting up, you need to carefully consider your actual needs and evaluate them.
