What should I do with peanut seeds before sowing? How to accelerate germination of peanut seeds?

Accelerating the germination of peanuts can ensure the emergence rate of peanuts. After accelerating seed germination before sowing, choosing seeds with long buds for sowing can not only achieve 95% germination rate, but also make the grown seedlings neat, which is very beneficial to management. Seeds that have germinated but not germinated should be selected, pressed or eaten to avoid waste.

There are many ways to accelerate germination. To obtain the temperature and moisture required for seed germination, there are three main methods to promote germination at present: accelerating germination with fire resistance, accelerating germination with sand bed and accelerating germination indoors:

1, fire-resistant germination method;

Soak the peanut seeds to be sown in warm water at 40℃ for three to four hours, take them out, put them in the pot, cover them with sacks or cloth, and put them on the kang to ensure that the temperature in the pot is about 25 degrees. After a day, the peanut seeds can germinate, and the seeds with long buds can be planted. Now that there is no kang, you can put the basin on the electric blanket to keep warm. This method is used by many people and has a good effect.

2. Sand bed germination method;

First, prepare some fine sand, wet it with hot water, mix the sand and seeds evenly in a ratio of five to one, spread it on the ground, cover it with a layer of wet sand, and then build a simple shed with plastic film; Keep warm by sunshine during the day. When the temperature is high at noon, cover the shed with a straw curtain to cool down. The temperature in the sand pile should be kept at about 25 degrees. It usually germinates in one day. At this time, choose high-quality germinated seeds for sowing. If germination is accelerating, remember to change the fine sand to prevent the spread and infection of the disease.

3. Indoor germination accelerating method;

Soak the selected seeds in warm water of 35-40 degrees for 1-2 hours, take them out, put them in a container with good water leakage, cover them with sacks, keep the indoor temperature at 25-30 degrees Celsius, wash them with warm water of 30 degrees Celsius every two to three hours, and gently turn over. When the seeds germinate evenly, they can be selected and sown one day later.

Problems that should be paid attention to when soaking seeds to accelerate germination;

1. Seeds can germinate neatly only by grading and soaking;

2. When the seeds are just soaked and the epidermis is wrinkled, don't turn it over, so as not to damage the epidermis of peanut seeds and increase the probability of pests and diseases.

3. When accelerating the germination of seeds, it is necessary to avoid that the germination time of seeds is too long, which is easy to damage buds, increase the incidence of diseases and insect pests, and affect the emergence rate of seeds.

4. After the peanut germinates, when it meets the weather that cannot be sown, the germinated seeds should be placed in the shade to control the growth rate of the seeds, and should be sown immediately after the weather improves.
