What are rope shards?
One of the decorative patterns of ancient pottery. A relatively primitive decorative pattern, there are two kinds of thick rope patterns and thin rope patterns. It is made by winding ropes such as grass and vines on Tao Pai and printing them on blank paper. It has many forms, such as vertical, horizontal, inclined and segmented, disordered, crossed and parallel. The ancients in our country liked to decorate this pattern on pottery and ceramic tiles, and the ceramic tiles printed with rope patterns were called rope tiles.
