Their music is known for its melancholic touching, and the Chinese landscape painting-like writing and feelings are dipped into their own blood, with post-rock, art rock, avant-garde electronics and other elements blended into a furnace: either delicate and touching, or passionate, the endless sadness contains unlimited tension, coupled with the far-reaching lyrics, presenting a dark and beautiful poetry. Members: Hoyliang: guqin, guitar, vocals. Main songwriter. Haisun Seasean: Drums, Bell Piano, Percussion Synthesizer. Album mixing and production, art design. Hai Liang brother. Fine Fai Littledream: Guitar, Keyboard. Band equipment management. Roy: bass, harmonica, xiao. He is the founding member of the band together with Hai Liang.
The reason for the name: the origin of the name "Swamp" is in fact an allegory of the nature around us, up to the abode of our souls - the deepest secrets of our hearts, and so the two are so similar: both tired of, but also fond of; both stagnant, but in the dark flow; both decadent, but also in the dark flow. The two are so similar: jaded, yet attached; glued and stagnant, yet flowing in the dark; decadent, yet full of lush vitality. This, in fact, is the best interpretation of their music.
The band's music style centers on electro-psychedelia, combining progressiverock, post-rock and avant-garde electronics into one: either delicate and moving, or passionate and surging, the endless sadness contains unlimited tension, and with the far-reaching lyrics, the band presents a dark and beautiful poetic world.
The band was the founder and planner of the 1996-2001 Kaiping "May 4th" New Youth Concert, and Swamp created many songs that have long been popular in the southern indie music scene, such as "Swamp" and "Red Brick Wall" (which was number one on the Top Ten Music Chart for four consecutive weeks), and "Red Brick Wall" (which was number one on the Top Ten Music Chart for four consecutive weeks). (the fourth consecutive weekly No. 1 on the Top Music Chart), "Escape", "We're All Going to Wither", as well as last year's "Panic" (a top 10 hit on the New Music Chart), "Two Dimensions", and "A Few Meters" and "Seeking Medical Treatment", among many others. He has been nominated for several awards including Best New Band and Best Album at the Global Chinese Media Awards, and runner-up in the National Online Original Music Grand Prix.
