What is righteousness?

The word "yiqi" has been interpreted in two ways in Dictionary, one as "righteousness" and the other as "loyalty and filial piety". However, in the eyes of many people nowadays, the meaning of the word "righteousness" has undergone a distortion, narrowly defined as "sticking a knife into both sides of a friend's body". In fact, righteousness is a principle, if you do not argue right and wrong, regardless of the consequences of catering to the improper needs of friends, this righteousness is a kind of ignorance and blind obedience, is very incompatible with modern civilized society. When people know each other, the most important thing is to know each other's heart. If you get entangled with the so-called "friends" who are not right in their hearts, you may fall into a bewildering situation where you can't tell what's going on, thus harming yourself and others.

In a modern civilized society, we should talk about law and morality, not "righteousness", "righteousness" should be understood as the interpretation of the current: because of the relationship between individuals or friends to overcome difficulties and take risks, and even sacrifice some of their own interests of the narrow-mindedness of the idea. It is a kind of moral consciousness in feudal society. It is a kind of feudal society's moral consciousness.
