What does freelance generally mean?

Freelancer (Self-employed) means hiring oneself.

Freelancers are mental workers (writers, editors, accountants, etc.) or service providers, people who are not affiliated with any organization, who engage in an occupation without making a long-term commitment to any employer, and who find work to do on their own under their own direction, often, but not invariably, working from home. Occupations include:

1. Being a small businessman, such as the owner of a remodeling company, or the owner of an online store on a shopping network.

2. are salesmen with no base salary, such as life insurance consultants, real estate brokers, advertising agents, and direct salespeople

3. are professionals, such as photographers, patent agents, attorneys, accountants, dentists, technology consultants, management consultants, plumbers, electricians, hairdressers, artists, and so on.

Extended information:

For freelancers, money is not the most important thing. Their independence, the freedom to do things their way, and being honored as an expert in their field are much more important than money alone.

Freelancers are people who like to do things themselves, and they don't want to hire help because they don't trust others to do as good a job as they do. Freelancers don't like to partner with others because they don't trust others to do things the way they like them to be done.

The limitation of the freelancer is that the more successful he is in his career means that he works more and more hours and spends less and less time with his family***.
